Hotel The Spotted Dove Homestay

We stayed here for 3 nights, and the experience was nothing but amazing. It is home away from home in a true sense. Rooms are well equipped with all the basic necessities, and the location just opposite the river Bhagirathi makes it great. You can just walk down to the river and have a peaceful time. The family is really welcoming and warm. They cooked many seasonal dishes for us, we were lucky to try Sarson ka Saag and Bichchu Ghas ka Saag (believe me it is a thing!) because we visited it during winter. It is a great place and worth every penny you spend here. Loved it!

Rooms were clean with comfortable beds but the attitude from the young man(presumably owner's brother) was very arrogant and unhelpful. Had to ask from everything from towels to drinking water. Upom asking he nudged us to request all requirements in one go.They even taunted and asked us not to make the rooms dirty as we had kids with us.

The homestay truly define the ‘home’ and the comfort of ‘stay’. The owner and his family are the sweetest people who will get concerned if you are getting late in the mountains and would call to know of your safety or whether any help is needed! The rooms are nice and cosy and the food is home cooked so extremely tasty. The rice we had was the homegrown too! If you visit during the winters, sit down with them around the fire for folklore and stories of the mountains

Excellent stay at this cozy and budget-friendly homestay. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. Special mention for the delicious home cooked food, which is healthy and cheap. Initially there might be a few basics from pov of a hotel that you notice missing, but keeping in mind it's a homestay, the owner will try his best to ammend every requirement you need. The ambience of the homestay is very serene, surrounded by nature you can cherish the most. Take an early morning walk on the quiet roads, nearby abandoned bridges, riverside, and Maneri dam to make this stay even more worthy. The only disadvantage you might face is the transit facility to the main Uttarkashi town since this homestay is located at a slightly remote area. However you would get fleeting shared taxis on this route to take a commute to the main town. Overall great stay, and highly recommended.

Just five minutes walk away from maneri dam this beautiful, neat and clean, newly constructed homestay will steal your heart. ❤️ Bhagirathi river is flowing across the road. They hv paking space available. Best part is it's located on the road yet peaceful. Host is friendly and nice. I stayed there in second week of May 2023 with my family consisting children and elderly. And we totally enjoyed our stay!
