Kumar Kothi Homestay

Niha and her family played perfect hosts during our stay at their Kumar Kuthi homestay between April 13th and April 17th. The place is very nice and picturesque with an excellent view of the Kanchenjunga. The room (and the bathroom) that was given to us was very clean and well kept. The meals are served hot and always comprise a delicious variety for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. It was my daughter’s birthday during one of the days that we were at Kumar Kuthi and Niha and her mother went out of the way and got her presents, which we thought was a very nice gesture. We would highly recommend the place if someone is looking for a peaceful, cozy and family-type place to stay. However, the place is around 20-30 minutes away from the last point where the car can drop you. So be prepared to walk that much distance. It is slightly uphill and can be cumbersome especially for young children or older tourists, but the view of the hills during the walk makes it totally worth it!

Good homestay to be in Darjeeling. It's actually near to The Silent Hill Homestay. The location is near to Mall approximately 1 km by walk. Do visit Kumar kothi and Of course do visit Darjeeling and have wonderful stay at Homestays.

The Kumar Kothi homestay is located just below chowrasta, the heart of Darjeeling.We had a room with an awesome view of the mountains. It was completely blissful when you wake up each morning with birds chirping outside the window and you could see the beautiful view of the mountains.Tried some yummy local food prepared by Niha. Great Hospitality, Highly recommended.

We stayed @ Kumar Kothi in end of June 2015. The place is 10 minutes hill walk from main Chowrasta Road. Niha arranged porter to carry luggage for us. ||During our stay, we had BF and Dinner @ Kumar Kothi. The quality and quantity of food was very good. It is value for money. One thing I appreciate is specially prepared food for my kid.||||If you can walk 10 minutes on HILL with Kid, it is good place to be at.

We visited Kumar kothi last year in may, the place is really good and homely. located bit away from hurly-burly of city. 5 min walk from main circle. Good place for backpackers, yougsters, couples etc. I won't recommend it for family with elderly people. The view from Windows is awesome. Rooms were clean. Neharika is very good host and her family too. Overall had good experience.
