Nice ambience and a great hospitality with a majestic view of kanchenjunga. Clean and cozy room attached with a bathroom with a nice lighting and a separate dinning area. Food here is great seems like a touch of own house. Owner is very friendly and helpful in every aspect trying to make us feel like our own home..

The Guiding Monk Homestays is a great place to stay a little far off from the Mall road in Darjeeling. It is a beautifully located plot at the top hill. The rooms are cosy, giving a very warm and postive feeling. The Host is extremely helpful and friendly. He will make you feel like his own family which makes your stay even more comfortabl and memorable. It is an ideal choice for people who prefer staying all by themselves or with their loved ones. The ones who do not prefer crowd and chaos, this is undoubtedly the perfect location to pick your dibs on.

Well maintained property, perfect for couples. The view of Kanchanjunga peak is breathtaking, We had an amazing stay for 2 nights and enjoyed our time @TGM. Special thanks to Amit for taking good care of us and offering A1 hospitality.

We had our most wonderful stay at this Homestay. It Is one of the best in darjeeling. Room service was superb food was delicious staff behavior and help Was very good. Rooms were clean and beautiful. Owner helped us a lot more than what we asked for. Overall it was a great experience with guiding monk homestay we really enjoyed

I had an incredible stay at this homestay! The management team ensures a seamless experience for guest. The check-in process was smooth and any question I has were answered promtly and thoroughly. The space was very clean and well-maintained. Management was available whenever I needed assiatance and the food was very much like homely food.

I had high hopes for The Guiding monk home stay, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I first visit into my room, I was shocked at the poor condition. The room was incredibly outdated, with old furniture that looked worn and unmaintained. The carpet was stained in multiple places, The bed furniture was so old that it felt uncomfortable while sleeping. The toilet is so small that it is impossible for one person to use it properly.The worst part is that the room | was shown was not given,We were given an old room.The homestay owner so shameless that he charged twenty rupees to each person for the festival was going on at Darjeeling. Next day we shifted to another homestay but no money was taken. The light condition of the homestay light was very bad, so low light was giving headache. Passed that night through a lot of trouble, I request everyone don't go to this homestay by mistake. There are many good homestays in Darjeeling, don't fall into this homestay trap. The homestay is located very high from the road, which no one will tell you

Detailed Review: PROS- 1. Terrace room, comparatively good view. 2. Room clean and cozy, wifi 3. House rule - no smoking/eating inside 4. Common place is good but you gotta share with others. 5. Good for physically fit people, as staying here will involve good amount of walking 6. Food was awesome 7. Host was helpful and very receptive 8. I paid INR 2200, good when you go in peak time. CONS- 1. You can smoke or drink in private space, I would prefer having my own private leisure time when I am on vacation 2. Food is served on time, but not in Hotcase, so you have to eat it ASA they give orelse it will be cold. 3. A lot of walking, as local cabs are not easily available with vacant seats. 4. Return of a sealed Beer bottle was not accepted by host. I think it could have been better for us if return was accepted as it was sealed, but we had to carry it back.

The accommodations were clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, offering stunning views. What truly made our experience exceptional was the hospitality of the hosts; they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and provided excellent recommendations for local dining and activities. We can't wait to return and highly recommend this home stay to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!"
