Blue Horizon Homestay

Blue horizon homestay is one of the best homestay where I've stayed so far. As I'm a traveller this homestay has all the facilities whatever any traveller needed. Clean and hygienic rooms and bathrooms. Great hospitality by the owner. He is a Lovely person. He even guided us about all the nearby tourist locations and how to reach there. This homestay is near to Japanese temple so you can go there by just walking. For reaching mall road you can get taxi just after walking for few metres only in 20Rs per person. Owner also provided us home cooked breakfast and dinner which was really good and tasty. You can also see the night view of darjeeling from the balcony and also you can see the view of kanchenjunga if there's a clear sky view. Finally i would say if you're looking for a great hospitality and nice rooms then you can visit this home stay.

I visited Darjeeling in summer 2022 and stayed with Sammy at Blue Horizon as part of a study trip. I can only say that Sammy was a fantastic host who extensively made time to help me with planning my trip, and went out of his way to help me get familiar with Darjeeling. The rooms are also clean and very cozy, and the location is great, only a minute or 3 away from the taxi standpoint, which then takes you to the center in 10 minutes. I also still miss eating the delicious breakfast and diner (especially the Thukpa noodle soup) that he and his wife made while I stayed with them! Don't hesitate any longer if you want to make a reservation!

A awesome and amazing experience i had in this homestay. I never felt i was away from my home because owner's hospitality and home cooked food was something lifetime cherisable. Hoping to visit this homestay only whenever i come to darjeeling ❤️

The host Mr Sammy has been really nice and humble with us, guided our whole trip and made sure that we reach the locations easily by drawing a map on his own with all the key points n fair price. The stay is very clean and hygienic. It's cute from inside out. Your gonna love staying at the place plus by talking with the host. Also they made sure that we reach back home safely as we were just 2 girls who went to explore the place on our own for the 1st time. Thank you so much for looking after us like your own daughter.

It’s an awesome stay with an even amazing owner Mr. Sammy. The stay is really pretty and well maintained by the owner.In the morning, The small mountain flower plants which are present in the stay with cold breeze along with the view from stay gives an amazing fresh start to each morning . The rooms are really cozy and it has all the facilities. 24 hours hot water to drink and to use in the bathroom, electric kettle, bed comforters, warm blankets, Smart TV, good strength wifi connection etc. Each and everything is very neat and clean there. We visited in early Feb, it was very cold but inside the stay its very cozy. If you are lucky enough and the climate is clear, you will get an mesmerising view of Kanchenjunga from the stay which you can enjoy with a cup of hot Darjeeling tea ☕️. The stay is 15 mins away from Mall road, but cabs are always available to reach there. Over everything, the owner is very helpful , humble and ready to help with mostly anything. So as per my view, its an awesome stay , I had an amazing time with my family and I will try to book this place next time as well if I plan to visit to Darjeeling. Note: The homestay is around 2 mins steep walk from the main road, so if you have any medical condition / for elders , it might be little bit hectic.

I must say this was an exceptional stay in Darjeeling this time. Our beloved host Mr. Sammy and his family are real gems in the conner of this mountain. They are very down to earth and always help their guest to experience the best in the Darjeeling. I never forget the little hand drawn map created and gifted us to explore the different conner of the mighty hill-station. He guided us in way so that we can figure out the best possible way to explore the queen of the hills. The stay at his place was really feel like so homely and it is like home away from home. It was so clean and tidy with all kind of essentials that you can think about and more than that the heart of care was present there. The food was lovely and very healthy. We must appreciate Mrs. Sammy(Ma'am). Finally we got opportunity to meet the great personality, writer Mr. Krishna Sinha Mokhtan who is father in law of Mr. Sammy. We received lot of blessings and positiveness from this place and personalities. Mighty Kanchenjunga(The Sleeping Budhha) is always blessing this place. You can take a look from the window and walk-area(which is covered and decorated with Himalayan flora and fauna). I must say this place is full with positive vibes and great peoples of Darjeeling. Thank you so much sir for all your hospitality, care and love.

Mr Sam is a very good and helpful man. We enjoyed his homestay with the natural beauty of his home. Good homemade food. Highly recommend.
