We spent a delightful night at Yangdup Metok homestay in Darjeeling, and it felt like a home away from home. The warm hospitality of the host couple was immediately evident—they greeted us with genuine smiles, took the time to get to know our travel plans, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. In the evening, we were treated to steaming cups of tea accompanied by crispy pakodas as we watched the mist roll over the hills. Our cozy room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with local artwork, offering lovely views of the surrounding landscape. Later, the couple served a hearty home-cooked dinner featuring fresh regional specialties—each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and made from ingredients sourced right from their own garden. We had to depart super early the next morning, but our hosts ensured our day started off right by packing us a delicious breakfast of fluffy pooris and spicy aloo dum to enjoy on the road. Over that simple yet satisfying meal, we once again appreciated their thoughtfulness and genuine care. If you’re looking for genuine warmth, delicious home cooking, and a peaceful respite in Darjeeling—complete with tea and pakoda in the evening and a lovingly packed breakfast—Yangdup Metok is the perfect choice. We only stayed one night, but the memories—and the amazing meals—will stay with us much longer!

We stayed here last month with family & friends and I simply loved the stay here. The hospitality of the owner is nice and I felt like home here.

We stayed over here two months ago. Two families of five. We got such neat and clean rooms at a reasonable price. Such a nice view from the balcony. We felt really staying at home since the hospitality was so great. We made our own food. we had one year old child with us so they made separate food as we requested. The most exciting thing is that we celebrated the first birthday of my child with great arrangement we really heartfelt thanks to them. Limited rooms available if you go with three or four families then it will be your home you don't feel you're staying outside. They do have cab service at a reasonable price. It is quiet since little far from the market area that is what we expected also.

This homestay is highly recommended. Uncle & aunty is very good. Location & views are also good. Overall we enjoyed staying here.
