A very good place for one or two days. Food provided by Eco Huts is very nice. Children and old age people can also visit this place. For sightseeing one may visit the Samabeong tea estate. Staying at the tea estate can also be opted for. Overall a very good place.

Jhandi is an extraordinary elevation of the hill located at an altitude of about 1900 meters in the Noam Forests of Upper Lungsel, Gurubathan Block, Kalimpong District of West Bengal, India, from where one can look down on the lower part of the catchment of River Teesta, a wide range of Duars and Tarai. The natural-grown village is surrounded by lush greenery, the Majestic Mountains, mesmerizing views of Duars and Tarai, and a variety of Himalayan birds. The vast range that includes Kanchanjungha, Nathula (Black Mountains) and Lava (a beautiful Hill Station). A number of good accommodation are available here including Jhandi Eco Huts, Pine View Homestay, Chettri Homestay, Basnet Homestay, Haven Homestay, New Premium Homestay, and some other beautiful Homestays. Jhandi is, in fact, a beautiful place where one can enjoy nice vacations and weekends at an affordable cost.

Isolated yet well attended property with beautiful calm mountain facing rooms. View is wide and clear. Nice terraces and sitting area. Food at restaurant is great and preferably take food stay combo. Recommended staying here for 2days for experiencing the surroundings and weather. Road to Jhandi is poor but property is well maintained and room has all amenities, like Wifi, bluetooth speaker, geyser etc.

Amazing home stay with beautiful sunset view points. The owner of the place is such an humble human being. He is making all the guys work as chef and took me to his property. I did some marketing for him so he offered me to eat an amazing lunch with him with wine from UK. We had great lunch together and i would ask fellow travellers to come here for the entire village authentic experience. Be like him boss man truly a king. Cheers 🥂 Rajan is very good guy compared to Shiva because he is never letting any staff go in hunger. He offers food and stay but stingy to pay money .He is strict man like a Indian commander. They are miser can't pay cash.

Can't deny the natural beauty of the surrounding but the homestay is too much commercialized. The staff behavior is too professional, not something we expect in a North Bengal homestay. Good for normal tourists but for people eho love to soak up the local culture, cuisine, language etc this place has lost its charm.
