A home is not just about the four walls but more about the humans residing in there. Welcome to Lake View Villa, the warmest homestay in Mirik. Uncle, aunty, Shashank and Shruti are the warmest hosts I have ever met especially uncle and aunty. Aunty made the most delicious momos, snack and dinner for ua. Never in my life I thought I would crave for squash! She is a MasterChef! They went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our floor was so well maintained and has the prettiest view of the lake and the mountains. We were also greeted by the Mighty K in the morning. Uncle took us around the monastery with such diligence. It was one of the most wholesome stays we had in North Bengal. A must visit and I would recommend this place mostly during fall or winter as it's getting hot due to global warming. Homestays are remembered more for the homely feeling they provide. Sashank does that amazingly by being accommodating and hospitable at all times. Can be a local guide and friend in need too. Food they serve is delicious and appetizing. Mirik Lake is visible from the room and not more than 500 metres. Overall the stay was worthwhile.

Greet location and amazing views from the room. Had a wonderful stay with Shashank and him family. He is a very warm host and he made sure our trip was a memorable one. Also the food was really good. IF you looking for a homestay in Mirik, book this place without a doubt.

Its a nice place to stay for a day just to go around Mirik. Not too far away from the Lake and the monastery. The hospitality of the people at the homestay is wonderful. So much of interest in wanting to know if we are comfortable or not, etc. But there were a few shortcomings that we couldn't let it pass. First and foremost was the need for room heaters, especially as the weather is really cold. The rooms lacked some basic maintenance and upkeep, like loose cupboard doors, no cloth stand. The geyser also wasn't working which I felt was to be checked before us checking in, into the homestay. A personal suggestion is to carry a small kettle and a few 3 in 1 sachets for tea/coffee as requesting the homestay members for some tea or coffee at random hours would be quite painstaking for them and for yourself.

One of the best homestay that I have ever stayed at. Shashank was a wonderful host. Though I was travelling solo, he made me feel at home and always accompanied me to sightseeing tours as my tour guide cum companion. Their food is also amazing. You will not miss home when you are staying at Lake View Villa. If you are visiting Mirik, this is the perfect place to stay.

This place is very close to nature with a beautiful view comprising a lake, mountains and a monastery. In the morning, you can also see Kanchenjunga from the terrace. Our stay was very comfortable because of our wonderful host Shashank and his family. I loved their BBQ and breakfast. He arranged everything whatever we asked. If you are planning mountain trekking or hiking, Shashank can be your guide too. And don't forget to ask him to show you his collection of remarkable antiques. Genuinely, he is the most contributing host.

Came to this gem of a place in Mirik with a group of friends and it turned out to be the perfect getaway. The host Sasank is a very interesting person who knows a lot about, in and around Mirik. Sasank boasts a good collection of antiques at his place which is worth a watch. Aunty(Sasank's mom) cooks fantastic lip smacking food, which is direct from their backyard farm to the table, hence couldn't be more fresh and healthy. Overall we had the best homestay in mirik experience. 10/10 will surely recommend.🙌

The stay in Lakeview villa is very comfortable and smooth, and the host ( Shashank) is a gem kind of person. Hospitality is genuinely remarkable, and the view from the homestay is phenomenal, and whatever you ask, you will get it; the host will be available for you 24*7. The only disadvantage of choosing the lake view villa is that after staying two days, you don't want to leave that place.
