NillA beautiful Homestay very tastefully decorated, good home cooked meals, spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff , what else do you need…. The location is far off from the maddening crowd but only around 1.5-2 kms from Ashram. The owners have opened their whole house to their guests whom they treat like their family only. So you can go to the kitchen, make your tea, gossip around the house at the ground floor drawing room or the first floor dining area, or the garden … choice is yours. And last but not the least is the amazing collection of artefacts from around the world, mostly from Africa, at the basement.

NillI recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Shantiniketan, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the owners, who made me feel right at home. The homestay itself is a beautifully designed space that exudes a sense of calm and serenity. The decor is tasteful, with a perfect blend of traditional and modern elements. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities to make your stay relaxing. What truly sets this homestay apart, however, is the warmth and kindness of the owners. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and were always available to answer any questions or provide recommendations. Overall, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic experience in Shantiniketan. It's truly one of the best homestays in the area, and I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here.

NillA Soulful Stay at Srirangam Homestay, Santiniketan : A Home Made with Heart My stay at Srirangam Homestay in Santiniketan was not just a getaway, it was a homecoming of sorts, made even more special by the warmth and hospitality of my dear friends, Shumon Sengupta and Ananya Banerjee, the heart and soul behind this beautiful place. From the moment I arrived, I could feel their thoughtfulness in every corner of the homestay — from the lush gardens filled with tranquility to the charmingly decorated rooms that exude calm and character. Every detail reflects their aesthetic sensibility and their love for this land steeped in art, music, and a quiet wisdom. It is ShumonAnanya’s DreamComeTrue Homestay!! The rooms are airy, clean, and tastefully appointed — blending earthy textures with homely touches. The minute you step into one, it’s clear that this is not just an accommodation; it’s a space crafted with a lot of attention and love. Meals at Srirangam are another highlight — lovingly cooked! I was lucky to have jackfruit and the sweetest mangoes! The breakfasts, lunches and dinners are authentic, nourishing, and served with a kind of warmth that instantly makes you feel like part of their family. What makes Srirangam truly special is Shumon and Neena themselves. Their presence is gentle yet attentive — always ready with a helpful tip, a warm conversation, or a loud adda. Their deep connection to Shantiniketan, its rhythms, and its spirit, flows through everything they offer. Srirangam is perfectly located, close enough to the cultural landmarks of Santiniketan to explore with ease, yet tucked away just enough to feel like a peaceful retreat. Whether you’re visiting to explore Tagore’s world, to write, to rest, or simply to be — this is the place to do it. Shumon and Neena have this beautiful nature to welcome friends, here, making each one feel rooted, welcomed, and inspired. I left with a full heart and the quiet joy of of seeing a dream that became a reality. Thank you, Shumon and Neena, for creating this little haven. I can’t wait to return.

NillA Hidden Gem in Shantiniketan - A Journey of Serendipity and Soul April 9th marked the beginning of a journey that none of us truly understood until we arrived. From Delhi to Kolkata, and then a long, weary five-hour drive to Shantiniketan, four tired souls reached a place known only through whispers and a dream. I had booked this stay on a leap of faith. No photos, no detailed descriptions, no presence on any travel site-just a lead and a glimpse of watercolor illustrations on an under-construction website. It was from these gentle brushstrokes that I recognized the building from afar. A risk, yes-but something about it pulled me in. As we entered the property, the first sight that greeted us was a delicate yellow lily blooming in a small pond-as if it had opened just to welcome us. And then, the house revealed itself: a space so thoughtfully designed, so spiritually resonant, that no photo or word could ever capture its essence. You have to be there. You have to let it seep into your senses. The energy of the place, the warmth of the food, and the quiet grace of the staff-all held a depth that most "retreats" only attempt to mimic. It felt like walking into the pages of Tagore’s vision for Shantiniketan-a living tribute to art, simplicity, and soul. Our host, Ananya, brought the place to life. She’s a radiant spirit, full of warmth and wisdom, someone who doesn’t just host you but invites you into her world. It didn’t feel like a stay-it felt like coming home. If you seek a place that inspires, heals, and opens you up-this is it. Even if you don’t end up booking, just pass through Srirangam once. On the day we left, I found myself holding back tears, grateful for a space that felt like a dream I didn’t know I had.

NillThis place is one of the best home stays I have ever experienced. Host & hostess are just awesome the rooms are very clean food is just out of the world. Price is a steal compared to what they offer. I will certainly recommend this place to friends & family. We will most certainly come back again. Collection of arts namely paintings, artifacts and books in this place are unmatched. The host Shumon seems to be a curator of an art gallery.

NillStayed here for 3 nights and we loved the house a lot. There is so much attention to detail and art in every part of the house, the rooms are nice and clean , and everything is so beautifully done up that we enjoyed our stay a lot. Sanjay the caretaker is a great cook and you must order the Handi Mutton Biryani from his kitchen, its called Kittu's Flavour, during your stay.
