Zostel Barot (Rajgundha)

The positives..., the cook was nice, and courteous. Food was good. The manager Kuldeep was also helpful. But, but, but... the vibe was missing. Not a typical zostel vibe... A bit too quiet. Not much of fun element either. The boring cafe was hung above the kitchen. The common room was not lively enough. The small park was not used properly (no straight entry, no proper sitting). Not lit up enough. Even they didn't have a speaker, not even a mild one.

I had an amazing experience staying in Zostel Rajgundha. The view from up here is fantastic. The 4 bed mixed Dormitory (along with the bathroom) was clean and well maintained. The food was delicious and every meal I had was tasty. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and always went out of their way to help. Shout out to Ajay, Kuldeep and Jacky bhaiya. Location - You park the vehicle on the road and it's a 5-10 mins walk down the trail and it was convenient. Highly recommended to anyone going to Rajgundha.

The room was okay, the staff is friendly and the food is good; the location was beautiful and they serve fresh trout. However, the night we stayed, there were numerous people drinking heavily, playing music, yelling and stumbling around the corridors late into the night. The walls are thin and we got no sleep. Perhaps we went on a bad day, but if this is the usual state of affairs, stay someplace else; particularly if you, like us, are planning an early morning trek.

A perfect getaway place while sitting in the lap of nature. This place is located in the midst of mountains far away from the hustle bustle of life. This place is picturesque, serene and beautiful. The sunrise and night stars are a must. Good places to hike/trek near by. Lovely and helpful staff. Food here was great too. We loved everything that we ordered. Our stay at Zostel Rajgundha felt like home, thanks to the amazing team: Ajay, Amit, Kuldeep, Jackie, Bijay, and every other member of the staff. Each one of them was not only friendly but went above and beyond to help us. We visited to shoot music videos and DJ sets, drawn by the breathtaking location, and every staff member contributed to making our project smooth and successful. From carrying heavy equipments to accommodating every request, their support made all the difference. I can’t thank them enough. The food was another highlight, with Parshuram working culinary magic in the kitchen! Every meal was delicious and comforting. To top it all, we had a unique experience watching moving satellites and shooting stars, which added an unforgettable charm to our nights. This place has left a lasting impression, and I can’t wait to come back. Zostel Rajgundha is more than a stay; it’s a home away from home in the mountains.
