Young Monk Hostel Dharamkot

Great location almost at the start of the Triund track (which is well worth the 5 hour return hike) Amazing rooms that are clean and spacious with awesome showers. The food is delicious with a wide variety of choices. It's a 10 minute walk to Dharamkot: The staff are fabulous, super willing to help with any request (specially Dee Jay the owner) with a huge thanks for all his help in organising taxis and giving great recommendation.

I had such a great time at Dharamkot and staying at the Young Monk hostel was the best decision ever. The host-Aman was so welcoming and fun to be with.Special callout to Skand who was volunteering at that time -so helpful and diligent. The rooms are spacious and clean with spectacular views-caught the best sunset here. The food is top notch-better than you’d find at most of the other cafes here. Definitely consider this property if you are going to Dharamkot

The rooms are good, loacation is good and food is good too. The host at our time, Aman was not welcoming at all. We felt he had a bit rude behaviour towards men or indians and thats what was felt by one of the other guests too. Rest the hostel in itself is good, a good host will make it a go to place as the rooms were clean and food was good too.

Hands down the best hostel I stayed in during my time in India… already wanting to go back! Young Monk had a real special energy about it and that’s definitely down to Roma & DJ, amazing couple and hosts … I stayed longer because I really didn't want to leave. Shivam & other volunteers were also really friendly & helpful! The food was delicious, I normally like trying different places.. But literally nowhere was as good as the food I had in Young Monk, and I tried most things on their menu. There was always something good going on, like music jams, it was a really warm atmosphere, great for solo travellers… ah I miss it! Peace & love :)

Had such a cool time there!!! Can’t stress it enough. The hostel is located in upper dharamkot, away from all the hoch poch. It’s quiet when it has to be, and mad fun when it has to be! I was blessed with amazing company as well. Aman hosted me when i was there, and he’s just great! Super friendly and very helpful. I didnt get the opportunity to try their cafe but i heard so much, that alone assures another stay at Young Monk for sure!!!

It's a nice hostel to stay in if you are doing budget friendly backpacking. Also the view from the room is beautiful. The cafe here is on a little higher side.

Overall a great stay with good vibes. The hosts DJ and Roma were very helpful, friendly and accommodating . Good food too with big portions. Slightly expensive though and they should give small portions for solo travelers as it’s a waste of food. Also the number of washrooms I feel can be increased as 8 people sharing one bathroom especially in the mornings can be quite tricky. I had to wait mostly all the time to use it.

An extremely comfy hostel with the best views, mattresses, pillows and cafe on this hill. Folks working as staff is extremely helpful with navigating you around the valley or with any sort of a problem. Best hostel in the locality hands down!
