Zostel Udaipur

Super friendly staff. Mafia night was fun. Only issue is my dorm did not have a window. First time in my life I’ve stayed in a dorm without a window the air was stuffy and the AC wasn’t as cold as it should have (turning it down to 16C didn’t make it any colder than 23C for example the air coming out was the same temperature). Rooftop restaurant was good and cheap and the view was amazing. Would have been 5 stars if the room had windows and the AC functioned properly. Also, a group of 3 Indian friends who checked into my room yesterday had zero hostel etiquette. Turned on lights at 7am and left them on for 2 hours, loudly talked to each other, watched videos on their phones without headphones. Clearly uncultured people who have never really traveled before. As this isn’t the hostel’s fault, this review doesn’t account for this situation but I just had to share. Maybe it is worth it for you to spend the extra $ as a westerner to avoid what I experienced.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The vibe of the place is relaxed and fun, with plenty of social spaces, including a beautiful rooftop with a stunning view of the city. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped. You can tell they really care about the little details that make a stay enjoyable. The location is perfect too — it's close enough to the city center but tucked away enough for a peaceful stay. It’s the kind of place that makes your trip extra special!

The staff was really rude and not friendly at all. The condition of the dorm room was terrible, and no amenities like towel or soap was provided. They charged extra for it. Common room of these hostels are really lively but this was so dull.We had an early bus and they wouldn't even refund some part of our pay. The person at the desk asked us to leave if we didn't like the property. Had a terrible birthday experience because of them.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was a great experience, the beds of dormitory are cozy and comfy, the rooftop restaurant gives breathtaking views of the city and lake. Also made some new friends there. The common area is a good place with games, music and tv. Also, the whole premises is aesthetically made.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I stayed in a dormitory, and the beds were cozy with privacy curtains, reading lights, and charging ports at each bunk. They also offer private rooms if you prefer more privacy. The bathrooms were spotless and well-maintained, with hot water and basic toiletries.

Dorms are good, they have AC for the summer and toilets are relatively clean. Hot water is aplenty. The view from the rooftop is very nice but it's on top of a hill so there's some climbing required. Front desk staff is very helpful.
