Moustache Hostel Udaipur

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mustache Hotel in Udaipur for three days, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is charming, with a great ambiance that perfectly complements the beauty of the city. What stood out the most during my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming, but I want to give special recognition to Narayan Sir. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything needed, offering assistance with all facilities and services in a friendly and efficient manner. His attention to detail made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Mustache Hotel for anyone visiting Udaipur. I can’t wait to return!

We stayed in a deluxe private room in the B Wing at Moustache Hostel, and it was absolutely amazing! The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The interiors, comfort, and lighting were on point, creating a perfect ambiance. The staff were extremely friendly and supportive, always ready to assist. The location couldn’t be better—right in the city center, with many tourist spots within walking distance. Staying in the deluxe private room in B Wing made our Udaipur trip even more memorable. Highly recommended!

This hostel was such a great choice of mine. The location is so perfect. Everything is nearby. The hospitality, staff, ambiance was totally amazing. I stayed for four days and felt like my home. The management made such good arrangements of everything. I am going to choose moustache only for stays. The sunset view was so pretty with a lake view and plus point is it’s quite affordable. Trust me you will never regret this stay.

Clean dorms, clean sheets, clean washrooms. Super nice staff. Very friendly and provided good recommendations. All the major attractions are within 2 km range and at walking distance. Common area is decent, their roof top restaurant is really really beautiful. Food is okayish. Wifi sucks. Common washrooms can be cleaner.||They organise sunrise tours as well, which are worth it, got to connect with fellow travelles there. All in all, great experience.

Everybody is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a nice and clean room. There are a lot of common areas und a beautiful rooftop terrace. They have a restaurant on the rooftop, which is budget friendly. We also did a sunrise tour to Bahubali Hills with the guys from the hostel. I would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone.

"An amazing stay! The hostel had a great atmosphere, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The dorms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the common areas were vibrant and well-maintained. The staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations for local spots. Plus, the location was perfect—walking distance to all the main attractions. The free breakfast was a nice bonus! I had an overall decent experience at this hostel. The food is good and budget-friendly, and the location is ideal, with several attractions like Ambrai Ghat (6-minute walk), city palace Bagora ki haveli at a 3 -min walk and great cafes nearby—Tatya for affordable food, Upre for the view/ super expensive and okayish food, Jheel’s Café - just behind the hostel, Backyard café- was good too. |However, be prepared to climb 4 floors at most cafés places due to the old architecture.||Positives:| • The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, especially Bharat, who went out of his way to drop me at the station late at night and provided prompt resolutions for any issues.| • The hostel prioritizes women’s safety, which is commendable.| • Linen was clean, and cleaning was provided immediately upon request.| • The rooftop offers a nice view of a portion of the lake from a distance, which is quite relaxing.| • The sunrise tour arranged by the hostel was well-organized, and the chai and Maggi on the hill were a delightful touch.||Areas for Improvement:| • Bathroom fixtures need attention as the shower was not functioning well in the female dorm that I stayed in.| • Being a hygiene-conscious person, I felt the bathroom and commode cleanliness could have been better.| • The gutter outside the hostel overflows every couple of days, which is unpleasant and stinky.| • Hot water availability is dependent on the solar geyser, which can be inconsistent depending on usage.| • Most buildings are old in the city and lacks elevators, so be prepared to climb four floors to access the rooms and an additional two floors for the rooftop. This may be challenging for those with heavy luggage or mobility issues.

Great service. You can keep your luggage at common area if you reach early. Room was clean and the best part is hostel location. You can get two-wheeler on rent at walkable distance from hostel. They have cafe restaurants and bar at rooftop. Highly recommended.
