HosteLaVie Varanasi

Very close to Chet Singh fort, Shivala and Jain ghat. The ghats are very quiet and nice. The rooms were clean, staff was very polite and helpful. Their food recommendations were amazing and we also managed to get discounts at those food places when we mentioned the hostel names. We were 3 people and stayed in a 3 bed suite room, I also stayed one day in a dorm room and our overall experience was great! Assi ghat is walking distance from Jain ghat and from this hostel.

1. The location wasn't good at all. If i wouldn't have booked it in advance, i wouldn't have been there. 2. Not worth the money I paid. 3. This is Om Guest house, run by the name HosteLaVie. The good thing was the host understood our problems and let us discontinue our stay.

Stayed at HosteLaVie for 2 days and was really pleased by their cordiality. They offered us a decent room along with the basic amenities. One can get a really nice view of the Ganges from their rooftop. The staff were respectful and catered to our requests without any hassle. I would highly recommend this one!

The hotel is very beautiful. Located near the holy river Ganga. Rooms are clean & decent. Food is good. Service of staff is also good.

Right by the shores of river Ganga, is where this sweet aesthetic hostel is located. The hostel premises induced a warm, peaceful feeling for your stay, with its cosy seating lobbies and garden. The reception, especially Mr. Krishna ji was very helpful regarding our tour of Banaras. He maintained a regular check on the comfort of our stay, and was very elaborate to make our tour of Banaras, the most memorable one. You can get a mesmerizing view of ganga from the hostel terrace, where we always crashed after a day out. Getting to this establishment can get tricky through the narrow gullys of Varanasi, though the hostel management will thoroughly guide you through it. Given that this establishment is quite old, the rooms we stayed in were in okay condition. I recommend to have the delicious dinner provided by the hostel at your request. Will definitely come back for stay if I return to Banaras.

The staff was very good and kind in nature. One can get a really nice view of the Ganges from their rooftop. I would highly recommend this one. Thnks for guiding us.

I paid 800 Rs per night for a single bed in a 4-bed room. In three nights nobody came to clean the beds and towels that were there from previous guests since who knows when. The sheets were dirty and felt used. The lockers had stuff from previous guests. The nights were really cold and the blanket provided was visibly too thin for a decent sleep. The place was nice though, very close to the Ghats, and the staff and general vibe was cool; but overall the price was too high and it really seemed like nobody cared for the general maintenance of the rooms.
