The Gateway Hotel Beach Road Visakhapatnam

I am always happy to stay with Taj, no exception staying in Gateway, Visakhapatnam. I have received all types of help and supports, immense care and hospitality and everything.|Although the infrastructure is not as per the standard that Taj normally maintains, but it is understandable that a 35 years old building might have such issues, which is ignorable.|I am very happy with everyone here. Starting from the booking assistance to everyday supports and all. Here I want to mention the name of one of your employee Mr. Kanwaljeet Singh, who was the best of them all. He supported and assisted to the extent it is possible for a person. He is amazing. And not only me, I watched him supporting and assisting his fellow employees, all the staff staffs members and each and every boarders in the same manner, which is very cordial, very "Taj".... I wish him all the very best in his life and career with Taj.|But I should mention each and everyone of your staffs I came across, and I am more than happy. At the same time I am feeling very sad, that this age old hotel will no longer stand there, as I feel an attachment already.|I wish each and every member a Happy Diwali, prosperity and happiness and all the very best. |And to the Taj group, I would like to request to please carry the legacy of Mr. Ratan Tata, the beloved person of us all, always, and make Taj even better everyday, staying apart from all.||My best wishes to all of you always.||Anshuman Mukherjee

Wonderful stay. Excellent service. Very old property, but well maintained. Views from Rooms were excellent. Very close to beach. Its more of a business hotel, but we can spend a short weekend over here. Our Kids loved it. Food was good & chef served as per dietary requirements. Special mention to GM Gopalkrishnan & his team, Mr Rambabu @ F&B.

The hospitality we received from staff at the Gateway hotel is unmatched. Mr Roy and his team at the restaurant and Mr Abbas and his team at the front office made our stay extremely comfortable. They were very considerate of the fact that we were travelling with 3 kids and made extra efforts to ensure comfort for the kids and us. The food was delicious and the buffet had a variety of dishes to cater to needs of both adults and children. Location of the hotel is excellent. Thanks team GATEWAY!

The 2nd part of my business trip to India was to Visakhapatnam. Although the airport pick-up did not work out as planned and despite some initial confusion, the staff members took great care of me. I got a perfect room and there was one young gentlemen in particular who went out of his way to help me. He really went the extra mile to make sure that I forgot about the airport pick-up experience (which my colleague who was not affected took way more seriously than I did). ||The food in the hotel is amazing and I was glad to be able to order room service in the middle of the night when working - and to get really high quality dishes. I was allowed to use the gym room until very late at night. This was important for me as I would not return to the hotel before 2300 hours. ||The room was clean and provided a nice view to the beach. I got to see quite a bit of Visakhapatnam as one of my colleagues lives there. So if you want to visit this city in the Bay of Bengal, why not stay in this hotel?

Had an amazing long weekend experience at the Gateway with family and friends. From early check-in to late check-out, it was one of the best hotel stays in the last 20 years. Food was good specially the breakfast layout. Taste and quality of the food was also great. Personalized service by the restaurant Staff to top of all of it. Overall, 5/5.

Well equipped place but needs to upgrade due to age-ing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and spacious enough. Unfortunately, got the first floor so there were no views, doors were creaking, hot water was not hot, and doors were not sound proof. Location is right beside the beach and opposite of Novotel. Good alternative to Novotel for the location. Gym and pool are well maintained as well but due to low level pool, it gets bugs easily.

They provide complementary Hi tea as special festival treat at every late afternoon during our stay. Food busket was complementary also. They have large parking place. Breakfast at GAD also have varieties. Overall nice and peaceful experience.

Great view, good breakfast especially french toast. I hope they increase the optiond for cold cut in future. Staffs were very helpful. The asian restaurant in the hotel had delicious options too for lunch and dinner. They also provided us with a mid day snack of fruits and sweets. Gym was okay but could use more equipments. Overall great option if you wanna experience luxury in budget.
