Hotel Makye amay

Great place to stay whilst in Tawang! Proprietor & staff are very friendly and go that extra mile to make the guests comfortable! They even handle the ILP procurement for the guests lined-up to visit BumLa & Sangatsar lake. Clean bedrooms & toilet is assured. Bathrooms also have private geysers. Power inverter makes life easy even during frequent power interruptions at this 10,000+feet high town. No lift facility in the hotel. Food from the in-house kitchen is finger licking good but br sure to place order an hour in advance with the chef. Same applies to B'fast too! Proprietor and son who are generally around can be of immense help to guide guests to must see places in and around Tawang so feel free to chat them up at the dining hall! Wi-Fi is available albeit i didn't access since Airtel was working fine. Highly recommended place to stay whilst in Tawang.👍👍

Hello, i stayed there for a couple of days. The location is fine. Room was good neat n clean. Host was super cool. Serves nice home kinda food. All in all, stay was quite good. Will strongly recommend you as a budget friendly option.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Makye Amay, Tawang, during the second week of November 2024, and it was truly a delightful experience. The hotel’s location, surrounded by Tawang’s breathtaking natural beauty, provides the perfect escape for anyone seeking serenity and comfort. The stay itself was excellent. The rooms were cozy, clean, and well-maintained, offering all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay in the chilly weather of Tawang. The hospitality of the staff added to the charm, making us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. One of the highlights of the experience was meeting the owner Norbu Uncle, brother Jigmy and their employee Manik. They are exceptional hosts with warm and engaging personalities. Their friendly demeanor and genuine care for the guests added a personal touch that made our stay all the more memorable. They were always eager to help, sharing stories, recommendations and ensuring every guest felt at home. The only aspect that could use some improvement is the restaurant. While the food was decent, it did not quite match the exceptional quality of the rest of the experience. That said the meals were satisfactory and the service was prompt. Overall, Hotel Makye Amay is a wonderful choice for anyone visiting Tawang. The welcoming atmosphere, exceptional hosts, and comfortable accommodations far outweigh any minor drawbacks. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again during my next visit to Tawang!

This hotel is an awesome place for stay in Tawang. With beautiful Rooms and awesome views the location of the hotel is very convenient for visits to War Memorial, Asia’s Second Largest Monastery as well as Giant Buddha Statue. The restaurant is also serves good food as reasonable price.

Conveniently located at the central part of the Tawang town. The owner, the staff everyone is very helpful and responsive The room was very clean and well maintained, you can also hire room heater during cold weather times They have a restaurant as well on the ground floor, good quality food prepared as well
