KALAWANGPO HOTEL

We stayed at Kalawangpo Hotel in Tawang in March'2025 which is really excellent in terms of location, cleanliness, room service & food. This hotel is infront of the famous Tawang Monastery and Jiant Buddha statue can be seen from the room.

Overall experience is below average. Rooms were clean and view was good. But on the very first day the room heater malfunctioned and stopped working. Power cut continued for the three days, and their generator facility was not up to the mark and not feasible for such a property. The service of the hotel used to be run by young, not trained and skilled boys and girls. They love to remain engaged in their phones rather than listening to the guests necessities. The only good point is that it is located right opposite the Tawang Monastery.

The rooms are very clean, the food is also very good and we feel like we are staying in our home not in a hotel. Best view, we can see the whole Tawang with such a beautiful landscape .parking is huge and lastly I recommend all to stay in this hotel.

One of the budget friendly and very well maintained hotel to stay for. Located just outside tawang monestry. Rooms are very well maintained with geyser and room heater which helps you keep warm. Service needs to be improved as we ordered coffee and waited for 2 hours and got frustrated and cancelled it after multiple follow-ups. Apart from that rooms, location and cleanliness deserves a 5 star. View from the room was also excellent.

Only good thing of the hotel is the hotel is near to tawang monestry. Rest all is less then average.staff is very unprofessional, they are always out of the food whether it's brekfast or dinner. By 6 am they cut the electricity and out of this is the heater doesn't work. Food taste is not good.

Very good hotel. Near Tawang Monastery. Homely food. Cozy rooms, friendly staff and last but not least the owner is very kind and helpful.

One of the best hotel in Tawang. Far from crowd and honks. Very peaceful as it is near the Tawang Monastery. Best view of the Tawang township from the balcony as I was staying in room 310. They have a parking space for more than 100 vehicles and have the largest parking space in whole Tawang. I will truly recommend Hotel Kalawangpo for a comfy stay with clean rooms, friendly staffs. Truly an excellent hotel in Tawang near monastery. So peaceful and calm. The view and its parking space is huge. Welcoming staffs, near and clean rooms with good food.
