Capital O 68385 Tenzin Guest House

On my second trip to Tawang, I stayed again at this adorable guesthouse in room 9 for three nights. Proprietors Thupten and Pi Pi could not be more welcoming and obliging, helping us to find cultural points of interest in the area and pampering us with the most delicious local Monpa cuisine at breakfast and dinner. On sunny days, it is possible to sit outside on the rustic patio surrounded by blossoming apple trees.||||The guesthouse is their pride and joy which shines through in the details of the décor. The rooms are bright and cheerful, decorated with wooden wall paneling that gives them the ambience of an alpine chalet. Attractive curtains and a hand-woven floor rug give the finishing touches. Amenities include satellite TV, a heater, very fresh bed linen and towels and hot water in a spacious and clean en-suite bathroom.||||Travelers in search of genuine hospitality in a comfortable atmosphere that feels like home will be very happy here. I’ll surely be coming back!

Basic but clean rooms. clean loos. lovely vies. friendly, warm (if rather shy) people. they shared their native cuisine with us on request. The location being away from the city makes it queiter and ideal, but it is easier if you have your own transport.

We have reached here after a day long journey from bomdila and as soon as we were guided into the room, I was truly relieved and impressed with the way it is maintained as it is least expected in such a small place like Tawang. The room was huge, comfortable and classy. Bathrooms had top class fittings and were very tidy. ||Mr and Mrs Tenzin along with helper Pe Pe made sure that we felt like home. Mr. Tenzin is a philosophy teacher at the Tawang Monastery and he had very patiently explained all my questions regarding Buddhism and monastery. He was also kind enough to take us through the monastery school.||The food is served as per our requirements and right on time. They grow their own vegetables as a result the food is quite tasty. They also have apple, plum, kiwi, pear trees.. We got a chance to taste the plums and I must say they were the best that I have tasted until today. ||PePe is very kind and patient. She keeps going up and down to make sure you get all you need. ||Overall we had a very comfortable stay here and are definitely looking forward to going back.

At first sight rooms appear very basic .. but once the heaters are on they are very cosy. No wifi and tv not worth watching but the staff were simply delightful .. always smiling and on.. bring hot drinks to our room. ||Breakfast was on the sun kissed outside terrace and dinner indoors .. as always .. too much food.||A bit outside Tawang but quiet neighbourhood apart from dgs barking one night. Stayed 3 nights and became very fond of our room.

Undoubtedly​, it is one of d unforgettable stay of our life. It is more like a hotel, around 2 Km away (on the entrance of Tawang Town) from main locality. Property is very good and neatly maintained. We had not booked it, but due to heavy snowfall​ we had no other option. But frankly speaking, our stay at Tenzin made our trip a memorable one. Rooms/ dining/ lobby were unexpectedly neat, clean, having all the basic necessities and a beautiful view all around. Most importantly, the hospitality of the Tenzin family. One feels staying at own home here. Overall an excellent experience and that two doubled by a heavy snowfall.

Had a very pleasant experience during our stay. The place is sufficiently close to Tawang and yet conveniently far from the noise of the town. The property is well maintained. Rooms are spacious and clean. The towels, blankets and the floor did not have a speck of dust. Electronic Heater is available. Power backup is available and we did not experience any problems for the 5 days we stayed. Spacious car parking is available in the property. Owner is very humble and we enjoyed the conversation with the family. Food is good and the prices are reasonable. We especially enjoyed the Aloo paratha and Veg thupka. Service is prompt but can improve on the availability at times. The place is a small walk away from the birthplace of 6th Dalai Lama. The surroundings are beautiful.

It says hard to find the hotel, seems bit outskirts but the quality of rooms and the view is great. The owner is humble too who is a teacher in monastery of Tawang. The helper miss Pepe is very sweet in gesture and work. Electricity is missing in the town most of the times but the hotel has generator which switch ons most of the points, even TV, only boiler won't work. The rooms r clean n big n so are the bathrooms. Do try chicken soup,.

Those who like serenity and love to stay in the lap of nature, Tenzin Guest 🏠 is the best place to stay in Tawang. It is owned by a very good cultured and educated family. All kind of services are rendered here by female personnel. A great level of hospitality can be experienced here. Whatever help and assistance I received from the owners family in a deep trouble, I can never forget in my life. May heaven's choicest blessings be showered on them.
