Hotel Menda-La Tawang

I found this hotel excellent. The rooms were spacious and had good views from both sides, were clean and airy. The food was great, although choices limited. The washroom had hot water available all the time as you could draw from geyser as and when required. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The hotel also provided room heater on request, although it was separately charged. Overall, very happy to have chosen hotel menda-la over others. The price is just about right although you can get cheaper hotels in the town.

Excellent location and very well maintained hotel. Received all assistance as and when required. Transport & permission to visit BUMLA PASS & SHONGATSER LAKE was arranged comfortably. Toilet was very clean with all gadgets including hot water for 24 hours. Rooms were very good with room heater, bed warmer, adequate blankets etc. Electric kettle and warm drinking water in flasks provided in room. Tawang has power crisis but there was adequate backup. Drawing room was excellent.

This hotel is great! Big rooms, top-notch service, and the food? Oh man, homely Bengali/Assamese-style cooking that's just lip-smacking. A tad-bit pricey, but that’s okay!||Rooms are clean, bathrooms sanitized – they got their game on. Plus, you've got a hot kettle in your room – major win. The view? Stunning. Near the Buddha statue, so mountain range galore.

I stayed here for one night . Looking at previous reviews it seems the hotel has improved a lot. I got a nice big room with great interior, room heater , comfortable bed, hot water , property is at good location too. A big dining hall. Staffs are well behaved . We went in off season so not much food options were available. Its a very good place to stay for a group of multiple people or even more.

A warm and beautiful hotel run by responsible management, The rooms are very spacious with all facilities like hot water, heater, smart tv, and they even have electric bed heaters which are very helpful when it gets too cold here. The hosts are amazing and take care of every single thing with great attention to detail. The food served is delicious with a variety of options. Plenty of parking is also available here. This is the best place to stay in Tawang, especially for couples and families.

Even though visited Tawang many times, but for a change, stayed here. It was excellent. The rooms were spacious, clean with great view of the town and the hill. The food was great. The washroom had hot water in them, as and when required. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, we tried Chinese dishes and it was better than nearby restaurants, in my view it was my best experience out there in tawang.

Satisfied with the service. The staff was very cooperative and understanding. Food was good too. Located near the market. Hygienic and comfortable beds with bed warmers, The staff were very polite and always attended us at anytime. Also the food was excellent .|Overall experience was good and would recommend to anyone who is planning to visit Tawang.

Very basic property on a busy road side. Overlooking the valley and the Monestry. The manager, Amar is the one man show, tries to manage all by himself. Don't expect much. In Tawang most of the ones will be busy doing local trips. So, just spending two nights is okay. Lunch not available! In Tawang, no card payment is possible. So carry cash ( hard to find ATMs ) or UPI. Poor network. Frequent power cuts. Though the hotel got power backups.
