Hotel Shoolin Grand

I recently stayed at Hotel Shoolin Grand and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the high price, the room fell well short of expectations. The space was smaller than anticipated, and the overall condition of the room was quite disappointing. The furniture looked old, The cleanliness was not up to standard. For the price I paid, I expected a much higher level of comfort and attention to detail. The hotel urgently needs to invest in better maintenance and updating the rooms. Basic improvements in cleanliness and upkeep would significantly enhance the guest experience. In its current state, I cannot recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made to justify the cost.

For the price point, rooms are good, decent size, has a lot of restaurant options, a nice roof top bar adds up, coffee shop on the ground floor which is not part of the hotel but on the same property is really nice, food there was the best and has a good cup of coffee, breakfast was the only thing slightly disappointing, good for business travels.. Location is good, very close to Dispur and not too far from the main highway as well.. noticed a lot of banquet spaces, so I guess it hosts lot of events too..

Food quality is amazing here. There are 3 restaurants here. All serves very good food. Specially the Kaita Sprectum and the Cafe at Ground Floor. The view of top floor restaurant is good but food quality needs improvement. The Golgappes they offered as a welcome dish is awesome.

The stay was awesome. The staff is friendly food is amazing i had ordered for a mutton rogan josh it was the best mutton dish i had in my whole life.

Rooms are spacious and clean, food is really good, front office staff were friendly and kind enough get me what ever I wanted during my stay. I will keep coming for sure.

We recently hosted our son's 1st birthday party at the Ruby Banquet Hall, Hotel Shoolin Grand, Rukmini Gaon, Guwahati, and it was an incredible experience. The ambiance was elegant and beautifully decorated, creating the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes that all our guests enjoyed. The staff were extremely professional and attentive, ensuring everything went smoothly. Special thanks to Ms. Dikshita, who guided us from booking the venue to the successful execution of the event. Her dedication and assistance made the celebration truly memorable. Highly recommend Ruby Banquet Hall for any special occasion!

Avoid this place at all costs. This is not upto the mark of a 3 star hotel by any means. Terrible smell in hotel corridors, dead cockroaches in the room, very slow service by in house restaurants (took 20 min. Just to serve water bottles inspite of reminding multiple times) and construction noises such as drills, hammering in the hotel. Breakfast buffet had flies flying around on food items as well as when asked to atleast cover the open items, no action was taken by the staff. No cleaning in common areas, used tissue papers lying around on floor in restaurant. Gym is a disaster with no ventilation and cleaning.
