Hotel Colonia Santa Maria

My partner and I spent 2 weeks of our 3 weeks vacation at CSM and we loved our stay. |It’s a 3star hotel which we found had a 5 star service. |The idea of us spending time at CSM was for us to explore all areas and beaches nearby but we loved spending time at CSM & around the pool. |Our room was clean & cleaning staff cleaned daily, they were always helpful if you had any issues. |The pool was looked after & chlorinated daily. Pool staff again very helpful sorting out Sun beds & towels. Staff from the bar & restaurant very attentive for drinks whilst you are at the pool. |The food at the restaurant is really good. Restaurant staff are brilliant & make your vacation personal as they welcome you, remember your name & extremely helpful. |Breakfast was included within our stay but lunch & evening meals was a fair price. |There was evening entertainment with themed nights. |There is an on-site Spa, which was a fair price & a lovely experience & chilled us out.

A beautiful hotel. Super clean and very well staffed. It's the ideal location for both the beach and the shops. The majority of the staff were super friendly and helpful although we did find we had to go to the bar ourselves from the pool for drinks (other guests were asked poolside if they wanted drinks).|The breakfast at the hotel was delicious as was all the food we bought. Room service was fantastic and the reception team were very helpful in booking taxi's and exchanging money. Fresh bottles of water and clean towels outside our room everytime we went back. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

We stayed here at the beginning of February for 7 nights. On arrival there was a problem with the booking I had made with booking.com and they had given away the rooms I had booked! They showed us an alternative room, which we accepted as it was late at night. The rooms were fine, although not what I had booked. The only issue we had was the beds were so hard and uncomfortable. However, I enquired at reception about a mattress topper and this was supplied the same day which was good, although didn`t improve the bed much, but I was happy with the service. The rest of our stay was excellent. Breakfast, although limited was great with omlettes and eggs being made to order. The restaurant is great, we ate there several times and even tried the steak night. Food and service was very good. All the staff were very friendly. The pool area, although on the small side, is lovely. You have to get up early though if you want a bed that`s not in the shade until 11 a.m. It is only a short walk to the beach where there are loads of beach bars and beds. Overall had a great stay and would definitely stay again (in hopefully a better room with a better bed).

Lovely hotel on the beach. Spacious rooms great service from the room boys. Beautiful gardens, A/c and safe included. Plenty of good restaurants nearby Fire 7 Ice Relish, and Cherry Olive. This was our 5th visit to the hotel. The staff cannot do enough for you.

Our second time at CSM and we were not disappointed. The staff are absolutely amazing and made our stay relaxing. Sanjay, Preet, reception, restaurant and domestic staff all very polite, helpful and friendly. My husband wanted to throw a surprise ruby wedding anniversary party, this was beautifully arranged by Sanjay and Preet with flowers, champagne and music. Thank you to everyone for making our anniversary special.

I recently stayed at Colonia Santa Maria with my family, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected for a hotel that claims to be four-star. To begin with, the property did not live up to four-star standards in terms of amenities or service. While the location is great, the overall experience was subpar, especially considering the premium price we paid. One major issue we faced was the attitude of the staff. I strongly felt there was a clear bias in how guests were treated. The hotel seemed to cater predominantly to foreign guests and as an Indian family, we often felt ignored or outright disrespected. The staff, particularly the restaurant manager, was extremely rude on multiple occasions—whether we dined at the restaurant or ordered room service. Additionally, no assistance was provided to us for carrying our luggage to the room. Despite being a family with small kids, we were left to manage on our own. This lack of basic courtesy was very disappointing. The included breakfast was decent, but again, the service left much to be desired. Overall, the attitude of the staff overshadowed anything positive about the property. I would not recommend Colonia Santa Maria to anyone who values good hospitality, especially if you’re an Indian guest expecting fair treatment.

Till now I have stayed at this hotel 4 times, as it is worth to stay here. Rooms are spacious and clean and if required they clean daily. Food is one of the best and cheapest at this location quality and taste are according to best restaurants. Location is best as they are connected to beach and greenery is throughout the property. Staffs are good and helpful and don't ask for tips. I had traveled with 1 yr old baby and got all help as required. Price is almost same throughout the year.

We recently spent 2 weeks at CSM, this glorious resort, a calming oasis, in the middle of Baga and so close to the beach. |It does not fail to provide a very good service, be it the breakfast, dining in and entertainment, daily cleaning of the rooms or any other services required. Nothing is too much trouble. |A big shout out to Sanjay, Suzette, Preet, Vithal and Dhana for making our stay as memorable as ever.|Looking forward to visiting again. |Hector, Rita & Neil.
