Booked this hotel one month before via YHAI reference. While check-in, the receptionist informed that the AC room is not available and openly admitted that it's their fault they overbooked. They were trying to accommodate in and standard non AC room without offering a refund or alternative arrangements. Please avoid this hotel if you want a hassle free traveling experience.

I had one work in Panajim and had to stay there for 2-3 days. The party said there is good hotel to stay and I went this hotel. ||||This hotel is located near famoud Dona paula beach where shooting of Kamal Hasan's movie was conducted. This is very romantic spot developed by Goa tourism. I will tell you about the same later.||||I checked in with required formalities. Its ideal to stay single or even 2-3 people also. The room was neat and had typeical small height beds with cotton bedsheets of squares. Room facilities like dressing table, Cable TV, Bathroom etc. were there. Also one small table was there which I used as my work table after my office hours. AC was also provided and well functional. I didnt checked water heater as it was hot ouside and I preferred to bath with cold water.||||This hotel is at very strategic location. This is in front of chowk where the buses from Panjim drop you for Dona paula beach and return back panjim. So there is very nice connectivity with the capital city. If you take left turn you reach Donal paula beach in just 10 mins walking. I went there for Morning walk. Very pleasant walk ! There were not much people there and I enjoyed every moment of the walk and spot. They have developed a nice structure on the top from where we can see the sea shore and adjuscent hotels also. There are many hotels nearby having private access to the beach. But the rates are quite high. I enjoyed the sunrise through boats, trees and orange color sunlight falling on sea water waves. There is also small path into the sea where sea water is in all 3 sides where you stop. i also came back in evening and watched the sea in lights. There were many restaurants there. i choose one there and enjoyed nice food with music of sea waves.||||From my hotel there is another small beach if we take right turn. This was also just 5-10 min walk. I choosed this for next day morning walk. This is not very famous but I found many people there for morning walk. There was small play area and amenities developed for children. This garden on beach is good landscaped garden and bit surprise for me. Here also sea is beautiful but I couldnt see sun rise as it was on Dona paula beach.||||The hotel was not having restaurant but they provided me breakfast like Jam-butter slice. There are small shops nearby hence i could get basi things there like shaving, packed food.||||I stayed there 3 nights and then returned my city. It was pleasant stay at touris place like goa and that too near a beach. Also the hotel was fitting the budget and was nice option for travellers.||||I will definitely come back with family to have another pleasant stay, this time added romance with my wife and kid !

Recently we three family members visited Goa from: 21/01/13 to: 23/01/13 & booked our stay at Sea View Hotel, Dona Paula. By assuming that we will get better service at the reasonable price being the property under YHA [Youth Hostel Association, International Accreditation] we confirmed our 2 night stay by making bank-transfer payment immediately by going through the official website. But when we visit there the hospitality was worst. Some basic aspects I wish to write here which the hotel supposed to provide us but the Management denied them especially being members of YHA, which was very embarrassing.||||1. Nobody was available at the reception not even for check-in/check-out but even any time of the day/night.||2. There was not a single towel or even a napkin inside the room.||3. No dust bin was provided.||4. No soap/soap bar was provided.||5. The wardrobe was very dirty, absurd smelling and not a single hanger was given.||6. There was no night lamp in the room.||7. It was the winter season and usually all hotels & even budget hotels also provides hot water for bath in the morning however the management told us that for YHA members we are not giving even a bucket of water irrespective of any season & in spite of that if you wish so then you have to pay extra amount per bucket.||8. The room was very unclean and all spider nets were spread all over, it seems that it was not cleaned for a long time.||9. The regulator of the ceiling fan was out of order and it was running only on full speed all the times.||10. The mirror of the dressing table was full of black spots rather almost turned black. ||||I hereby wish to suggest everyone that do not believe on photos displayed on web sites or even do not depend on the renowned organisation [probably they were also not aware of the current scenario after approving the property for their members for the long time or so] better you see the place by yourselves and make sure of the desired hospitality suiting to your budget and then only go for check-in. ||||Mahesh, from Pune, India

We booked through youth hostels (partner portal) and on reaching there they told us that the booked ac room is not available and we can take the non ac one. The person was not apologetic and had the i dont care attitude. Finally we had to settle in a nearby guest house.

nice and cosy. at different levels. not much choice but must try whatever is there. prepared with personal interest. nice songs live , serenaded us too. graet place if you are a member like myself. good choice of wines. not too expensive for the ambience. if you want action noise this is not for you!!

I wish a minus rating was possible to give. My plan got changed and I could not cancel the booking (made via Goibibo). The numbers were not reachable. Now the system shows - "stayed" and hotel is denying any refund. Well done! Beware of this hotel.

Recently me and my wife visited Goa from: 02/10/13 to 05/10/13 & booked our stay at Sea View Hotel, Dona Paula by assuming that we will get better service at the reasonable price being the property under YHA [Youth Hostel Association, International Accreditation]. Don't ever BOOK this hotel just by looking its photos in Internet. Worst exp ever had by booking this hotel.||||Some basic aspects I wish to write here which the hotel supposed to provide us but the Management denied them especially being members of YHA, which was very embarrassing.||||1. Plug point was there but was not in working condition.||10. The mirror of the dressing table was full of black spots rather almost turned black. ||||Before adding these kind of hotels your websites please visit and stay in the place and then give approvals.||||For the same price there are better Hotels in Dona Paula which will provide good stay and customer service One of them in SEAPAL Guest House.||||I hereby wish to suggest everyone that do not believe on photos displayed on web sites or even do not depend on the renowned organisation [probably they were also not aware of the current scenario after approving the property for their members for the long time or so] better you see the place by yourselves and make sure of the desired hospitality suiting to your budget and then only go for check-in. ||||Mohan from Bangalore, India
