OYO 47110 Hotel Royal Palace

I regret choosing this hotel for stay. The room was not as advertised and was in need of serious maintenance. The air conditioning was broken, and the room was sweltering. The staff was slow to respond to our complaints and didn't seem to care about our concerns. Avoid this place if you want to have a pleasant stay.

Size and cleanliness are major points for a hotel room both of which here was disappointing! There is also no facility of kitchen there so meals are to be either ordered from other restaurants or you have to go there. Also there is no facility to provide you bottled water.

ISSUE? This whole hotel is an issue. I don’t know where to begin. First of all I was travelling for the last 28 hrs in the train when I reached the hotel. Unaware about the areas of Ahmedabad (given that this was my first time) I booked it on OYOs trust. On arrival at the hotel at 2 am in the morning the reception check in guy straight away refused to provide me check in. According to him the tariff that was put on OYOs website was too less and that if we wanted to stay we had to pay up even more money. I tried to explain to him that I have already paid the 100% of the reservation charge on OYO and that I would not pay more. Then he says that he will give me only non AC room because the charge that I had paid on OYO was not of AC according to him whereas OYO website had clearly shown AC as available in the room. Then he started shouting at me for no good reason and threaten me. He called me a illiterate for not knowing what he called “The rules of the business “. He said that I run 14 hotels in Ahmedabad and he would not give me the room no matter what happens. Imagine how I would be feeling with my wife and mother and friends mother standing in the road in the middle of the night. Then I called the customer care and the customer care agent agreed to shift me to another property and while I was talking to the customer agent. The guy at the reception came and asked me to talk to the owner of the hotel and the hotel owner says to me “Sir na aapka na mera 200₹ har room ka badha ke de do room lelo” (Sir, let’s bring it to the middle ground for which you’ll have to pay up ₹200/room/day to me” After a lonnnnggggggggg conversation we finally got the room. And the room was bad as it could be. It was the worst room I have ever stayed in. The toilet is so small that I can’t even tell you. All in all I would recommend you to stay in a Dharmshala rather than staying here. Please please please don’t stay here even if it’s for free. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

First of It has no emergency exit, infact the stairs are hidden you have to find it to use it, the location is in industrial are which is far from city so good for industrial visits but bad for travelers, rooms are ok has no windows not even bathrooms.

Great hotel located near odhav circle, Very Comfortable, Really pleasant and clean rooms. staff service was good, nice experience, Had a great and comfortable stay, The room are well maintained, everything was good, Very satisfied.
