Hotel Valiant

Whenever I went to Vadodara, I have chosen Hotel Valiant only. The reason being there are several, their staff is extremely co-operative, hotel owners are very down to earth. If you choose the rooms on Railway station side, then your evening will be memorable with classic sunset

Quick service and polite staff. Management system is too good with the hotel having their own restraunt. Rooms are economical. Also it is Near from the railway station. Cooperative. The scenic view from the rooms is also good.

Great location- short walk to bus station (for visiting Pavanagh) and railway station (friendly ATM there). Restaurants, markets all around.|Value hotel- Rp700 for room- no a/c but didn’t need as is winter, fan ok. Fairly clean, hot water, wifi patchy in room so used in lobby.

We arrived in Vadodara at about 9PM with no reservation. We headed to Hotel Valiant on our guidebook’s recommendation. (As a side note, beware of auto-rickshaw drivers who claim to know the hotel only to drive you all around the city with the meter running. One tried to charge us 180 rupees even though the hotel is walkable from the bus station where we started. We had big bags that we didn’t want to walk with and decided a short journey should be cheap.) ||While the prices of the hotel had gone up significantly in the year since the guidebook was printed, we were tired and decided to stay anyways. We weren’t disappointed with the service. The room was spacious and the TV worked. The wifi was the fastest we have had so far in India. There is also 24 hours check-out, which for us meant we had until 10PM the next day to enjoy our stay.||||The few troubles we had with the place started on our second day. The promised hot water was non-existent. When I went to ask questions about breakfast at the reception, I was ignored for several minutes. I am sure the man behind the counter knew I was standing there and just didn’t want to deal with me. When he did finally acknowledge me, his answers to my questions were rather short and pushy. When breakfast arrived at our room, the staff entered after a short knock, not giving us time to get to the door. Thank heavens both of us were dressed! This was a repeating occurrence that made us really uncomfortable. In addition, the staff seemed intent on coming all the way into the room even when a conversation at the door would suffice. I am not sure why they seemed to want to gain entry to our room, but we saw it as an invasion in our privacy.|| ||I am not sure if I would recommend this hotel to a friend because of the unprofessionalism of the staff, but if you want a nice room and don’t mind a little intrusion into your privacy, go for it.

When we arrived in Vadodara we were shocked by the lack of budget guesthouses/hotels. The cheaper places did not have the license to accommodate foreigners so our only option was to get a room in those business hotels where a double room is not less than 2000 rupees per night excluding tax. |Hotel Valiant seemed to be the cheapest hotel in this range of accommodation. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the service is good. We paid 1800 rupees including tax for on night. |

I stayed in this hotel because of my business visit. I stayed here for 1 week Overall a good experience. First of all the location this is just away from central bus stop and the railway station aslo everything you need is near to hotel and the hotel is located on a 7th floor so you get the great view and also the cleanliness of the room and toilet is good in conditions here you get hot and cool water for 24 hrs so no worries about that . I love this place.

Had a very good experience staying at this hotel on my visit to vadodara. Walkable distance from railway station and has everything nearby . Staff are friendly and didn't not face any issue. Room will be cleaned daily .Has got amazing view from 7th floor .

The hotel is reasonably priced,near to bus stand & Rly station.The staff is good & cooperative.The environment is calm & quiet with no nuisance.The breakfast is good with limited choices & lunch & dinner is arranged from nearby restaurents. Over all the hotel is an ideal place for official or business stays.
