Hotel Avista Vadodara

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service. The hotel is also quite affordable, offering great value. I’d suggest adding a few more items to the breakfast menu for added variety. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free experience!

If you are a foreigner do not book this hotel. They will refuse you. We booked through a site and paid in advance. There is no advance warning on their site or the booking sites that they will not take foreigners. On arrival we were refused and told to cancel! We refused stating that if we cancelled we paid in full. They still refused to cancel. We refused to leave. Eventually they told us they had cancelled. We asked for proof. They couldn't provide it. An hour after they originally couldn't provide evidence they showed me a screen shot stating they had cancelled. This proved to be false. The booking site stated they had never had the cancellation! In short this felt like I was being robbed. I would not advise sharing credit cards etc with them. We eventually got our money back but it took a while as the hotel appeared to have disputed it. Be very careful with this hotel. In addition while waiting for the cancellation in hotel reception we witnessed a steady stream of people coming from their rooms complaining about a variety of issues. Issues that included cleanliness, no water, bad smell etc. It appears their attempt to defraud us did us the favour of not having to stay at a hotel that obviously has many negative issues!! I was lied to so many times by the hotel, face to face and on the phone that I struggle to believe anything they say. Did they see foreigners as an easy scam? Unwilling to fight for their money back? No time to involve the police? I have never had this volume of deceit previously and hope to never again. AVOID Update to Hotels Response The hotel states on their reply that they already informed me by email. If that was honestly and really the case then you would also have not accepted the booking. However you did accept the booking and we never received any communication from you, before or after! Why do you lie when it's so blatantly obvious that it's a lie!!?? We booked, you accepted it, you refused us on arrival, lied to us about cancelling it, attempted to keep our money from the booking and have lied now again!! Shocking hotel!! You mention the CForm. This is purely a mechanism for you to inform the local police that you have a foreigner staying. The vast majority of hotels we stayed in do this with no complaint or issue. Some refuse us due to laziness. Your hotel has been the only one that has seen it as an opportunity to defraud customers!!! You can note that the hotel makes no attempt to deal with each of the individual actions it took. It doesn't deny or excuse them!! Make your own judgements

Very clean rooms including washroom. Staff behaviour was friendly and cordial. Service provided well and on time. Considers personal requests of customers.

The location is good, but rooms and service can improve. The bathroom, once you enter, you can't come out without smelling like naphthalene balls, they use so much. You feel like vomiting when brushing due to the smell. The rooms had some funny smells. No complimentary water bottles or No kettle and tea/coffee bags, the tea which we ordered was awful, when we informed the waiter, who served it, he just laughed it off. The restaurant is not suitable for vegetarians as it has both veg and non veg on the menu.

Over all my experience was good, services they provide in this tariff seems ok. Their breakfast menu is too limited & repeated. They can groom themselves in terms of professionalism, way of talking and the front desk person was not polite enough for guests.

Nice place to stay while you discover Vadodara. Very nearby to Vadodara railway station. Affordable stay prices and can be neglected. Polite and prompt room service. Found room and washrooms clean as required. Breakfast is very much recommended.
