Alt life Luxe | Himalayan Crown - Dharamkot (Mcleodganj)

I'm writing this review after much thought. I had booked two rooms for this through Booking.com. Despite repeated attempts, I couldnt pay the deposit through booking.com. This is when this place asked me to deposit the money directly. While doing so, I confirmed the location of the hotel..Now, when we arrived at the hotel, till where most taxis don't want to play due to lack of a proper road, the person at the reception informed that our booking was for another property owned by them. After travelling for more than 12hrs in the biting cold along with aged parents, we tried to convert our booking to this one. Mind it, the one we had booked accidentally had more expensive rooms. After some back and forth and losing cool on both ends, we managed to get our booking converted. Coming to the rooms and service- the rooms don't really offer a clear view as there are homes built right in front of hotel. The rooms also lack any sound proofing as one would easily hear conversations from the neighbouring rooms crystal clear. The breakfast service was quite limited, despite having an extensive menu, and pretty dismal. The staff was quite unhelpful when we faced a medical emergency. Also, they didn't even help us in loading back our luggage. All in all, I would avoid this place as the whole booking experience looked questionable. The view wasn't worth the pain to reach there. The staff was quite uncooperative.

Property is ok. Location is good if you are looking for something outside the busy market, easily walkable to Bhagsu. Hotel service is poor, in room dining experience is slow and food was not palatable. The guy at the roof top cafe-Bunty, was good and served some good coffee and tea.

Rooms were well cleaned and comfortable. Food was pretty good. In additon the terrace view was astonishing. Overall it's a good hotel/resort to stay in if you're looking for peace in the hills.

Great hotel!! Good location between Bhagsu and Dharamkot, super nice staff, helped us with everything. The rooms are spacious, clean, excellent bath and hot water. Highly recommended, worth the price for people who want high quality place.

This is one of the best stays I have been in.... Room is spacious and has all amenities.... TV, Heater , Geyser, AC everything... Room service and the staff behaviour is excellent... They are ready to help 24/7.,whether it is hotel related things or city facilities like arranging rent vehicles, cabs, or guiding us to best feasible places to roam around in locality, they were all very approachable all the time.... Room service and housekeeping is excellent... Food here is really great... They do have a dedicated restaurant and also a separate cafe area as well..... Overall a great satisfactory stay at this place ☺️ And yes not to forget... View from room balcony is picture perfect... Especially if you get a front facing balcony... Waking up to this view is worth every penny ❣️ We had great help from Manjeet from Reception and Rohan Choudhary from Room Service... 🙂

Restaurant food and view is awesome. They have many variety of cuisines, all in one place. View from rooftop lounge is beautiful in all seasons. Rooms and facilities are well maintained. Staff is kind and polite they will help you with any request. Must visit place in Bhagsu area!

Great property with nice rooms. The best part is parking but no service because of less staff. Breakfast took 1 hour to serve and a very bad experience in the next morning.

Very well located properly in Bhagsu. The service is very prompt and excellent. The staff members are very nice and helpful. I stayed for 8 days. Will definitely come back
