Capital O Hotel Hmg

Should not get confused with "Hotel Bhagsu" which is a HPTDC hotel (we got taken to the HPTDC hotel early morning at 6.00 AM). This is more like a lodge (with room service) and you will get disappointed if you are expecting world-class amenities. The rooms were small but clean, the bed was good and firm. Unless if you are from a cold region (where mercury dips to zero) don't try to go in Winter since room-heating is minimal and mediocre at best (most of the hotels in that area uses heating rods (including HPTDC Hotels, so this is not just this hotel's fault and heating rod rental is extra at INR 300.00) and not the regular "forced heated air" concept which is common in Western Hemisphere. Also the quality of food served was below par (looks like it was cooked by some young fella in a dinghy kitchen but there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity). But apart from that our stay was memorable and nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and nice to deal with. The Manager Mr. Balbir Singh went out of the way to help us, he didn't charge any extra since we checked in early (checked in at 6.30 AM) and checked out at 12.00 PM (stayed for 4 days). And since our HPTC bus was at 6.30 PM he even volunteered to keep our luggage at his office till 4.30 PM without us even asking it as a favor. On our request he arranged a one day sight seeing trip (charges where very reasonable & the driver was very knowledgeable and pleasant). I would have given a "Very good" rating, except for the food. This is a temple town / Tibetan settlement, perched on top of the Himalayan Range, so don't expect 5 star facilities. Great value for money.

Stayed in this hotel during my visit to Mcleodgunj. I found this an average hotel. Location is good which is nearby the Bhagsu Temple and Market, where you can enjoy shopping. Food was good and some nice restaurants are situated nearby hotel. |Rooms were clean and ventilated. Over all a Budget hotel and as per the expectations.

Got misled due to an incorrect link in MakemyTrip (This hotel was linked to the HPTDC Bhagsu hotel) and hence booked this. The location is very near to the Bhashunag Temple and Waterfalls and that is pretty much the only good thing about this hotel. I was travelling with family and had booked an extra bed but the room provided (facing the back) was tiny with a residual stink and no extra bed was provided. The manager mentioned that he will provide an extra mattress but seeing the size of the room I did not bother. The food served was also below par (my family had their food outside...there are lots of options nearby..but I got delayed and was stuck with the hotel food). Left very early the next morning to get away from all this. Overall was not a pleasant experience.

Place is meant to be higher class than most of the hotels in the area, but beyond being more expensive there is no difference. Has the same mold problems almost everywhere else has in Bhagsu, and wasn't clean besides. Service was slow and difficult. Would recommend staying elsewhere.

Really don't want to rate hotel which I booked for INR 5K to change clothes. I reached the hotel at around 8 AM and the checkout time was 12 noon. I was with my family and group of friends. I also called the goibibo customer service and talked to hotel staff to give me atleast a room to keep my bags and sit with my family after a tiring journey to mcleodganj from new delhi. The hotel staff was too stubborn to support me after numerous requests. This all spoiled my groups mood of touring mcleodganj and I left for manali same day and used two rooms for getting changed. I booked three rooms there. Also the hotilier informed that the goibibo cannot do anything to them. I am very disappointed by goibibo and never ever want to contact you again.

Basic hotel with basic amenities. Staff is well courteous and friendly. All thanks to Mr Balbir. Clean rooms with balcony view. Located in Bhagsu and close to Bhagsu Water fall.

This hotel was booked through Make My trip but wrongly. I intended to book hotel bhagsu, but make my trip booked High land bhagsu. This happened due to some technical reason or wrong information on any of the web site. I tried today also, link of hotel bhagsu which is ranked 3 on trip advisor, takes to wrong hotel through make my trip. Trip advisor & make my trip should get the note of it and should take necessary actions to stop misguiding the tourists.

For girls solo traveller's it's not good place someone knocked my door and tried to opened that but they didn't do anything they did this thing many times in the morning also.I spoke to them who is that but they didn't respond.But when I threatened to them for police they told you can change your room.I checked out earlier but I couldn't get refund for that from oyo.Service of oyo is really bad in first time they told you will get your refund.But after that they denied from their words..I would not like to choose oyo in future..
