★★★★★The property is located centrally to the main market and very close to Dalai Lama Temple. The property is owned and run by a family and gives the vibe of Tibet with the decor beginning from the reception area to the room. Staff is polite and rooms are kept clean. Food is very good and gives a taste of Home cooked food. Breakfast needs a slight improvement as the menue remains mostly the same every day. Though, the taste of food/breakfast is very good.||Only the red flag is the property as of now does not have a private parking as another wing of the hotel is being constructed and it looks almost ready. Once, the other part is constructed the hotel will have its own parking.||Otherwise a superb property with a good view of the Dharmashala cricket stadium and mountains.|

★★★★★This was a great experience and hotel. Very welcoming, staff was nice and helpful. Staff woke up early to prepare breakfast when we had an early checkout. View was beautiful. Location very good. Comfortable. We’d definitely stay here again. And wish we could have stayed longer.

NillI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless—very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The food was excellent: delicious and well-prepared, and the view from the hotel was absolutely stunning.

★★★★★I always stay at this serene place. The owners make me feel at home. Buffet breakfast is great. The views from each room looking down at the Kangra valley including the famous Dharamsala cricket stadium are simply incredible. On the right hand side of the hotel one can view the old residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Dalai Lama temple. Whoever stay there will most definitely enjoy it!

★★★★3.5*|A little taste of Tibet in Dharamshala, in a good location. The views across the city from the large terrace are incredible. How can they grow geraniums (under cover but open to the winds) when it is minus degrees? You can see across to the Dalai Lama's residence.||The food is very good, produced in a matter-of-fact way in the restaurant that feels a little dour, lacking atmosphere. Note that it is a dry establishment.||It's all very functional and it works but during our stay we had to hop through the building works where new parking is being prepared and the lift was out of action.

NillThis place was a have of luxury in an otherwise frugal stay in India. Sure you’re paying for the luxury, but the kindness and care of the staff here was second to none. I was struck by the way they remembered my name between visits and even my health condition. They made me an early breakfast before my dawn flight and genuinely made me feel like I mattered - not something I’ve come to expect from the typical luxury hotel chains. The views from the terraces and from many of the rooms is stunning. Dawns and sunsets are breathtaking. Expect a walk down a narrow lane to get access. It’s worth it. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending.

NillI was told I was given the same room as had Mark Zuckerberg, or was it Nancy Pelosi? Or maybe both? No matter. Surely, I had one of the most comfortable rooms in all of the Indian Himalaya. Not a 'you've been assigned JFKs bathrobe in the Plaza' life-changing experience, but life-changing nonetheless. Fantastic breakfast spread each morning. A truly sublime experience when taken for an hour or so in the cool air on a patio overlooking the Namgyal Monastery as the tantric monks begin their day, with views far down the hill all the way to Dharamshala and the vast Indian plain beyond. But keep an eye out for the monkeys. Theirs are focused on your plate, for sure.

★★★★★We had the great fortune of staying at the Tibetan run Norbu House on our visit to meet the Dalai Lama. It is an amazing location with superb staff. The rooms are spacious and ours had a great balcony view of Darmashala. it's walking distance to the McCload Ganji downtown area for resteraunts and shopping. It has special access to the main temple. We highly recommend a stay if you can get a room.
