1. It's the best place to enjoy forest / nature away from madness of Dharamshala / main Mclo. If you have a budget of 8k-10k per night, and looking to enjoy some peace and quite of the mountains and still be close to main Dharamshala / Mclo, then this is the best place you can book. 2. This is more of a homestay than a hotel, and the owner lives on the property. He is an excellent host & a true gentleman, and welcomes guests very warmly. He hasn't listed his property in any travel site or Insta, hence the occupancy stays low. It worked great for us since it was like a hidden gem, with undisturbed peace and quite. Most importantly, the service and food quality and rooms have uncompromising quality, which adds to the charm. 3. This amazing private homestay is nestled within pine forests, very near to main Dharamshala / Mclo.. A serene and quaint experience perfect for couples and families with kids. Amazing food too, although food cost is high (probably at par with a 4 star or 5 star hotel). Still much better value for money compared to premium properties like hyatt or itc or eagle's nest at half the price. 4. Best place for stargazing, birdwatching or reading a novel. The lights are turned off after 11pm, and you can take brilliant shots of the night sky, or just hangout on the porch enjoying the cool mountain breeze. Overall, brilliant experience, and our 5 month old had a blast listening to the chirping of birds and enjoying the fresh mountain air.

My family and I stayed for a week in this truly heavenly resort !|From start to finish it was perfect. The owners , Ajai and Kalpana went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. An extremely warm and helpful couple ! The staff too were very polite and always greeted us with a smile. The food was very tasty… good home style ghar ka khana. My husband has some dietary restrictions,and they went out of their way to take care of him.|If you’re looking for peace and quiet,in nature,this is the place !!|Highly recommended for a peaceful,off the beaten track holiday.

Best location to stay in Mcleaodganj. It is conveniently located near the marketplace but still away from the main hustle-bustle of main square. Its surrounded by pine trees and is so spacious. The host - Mr Ajai Singh ji made sure we are welcomed and his staff attended to our all needs without any hassles. The home-cooked kind of meal was very yummy and well prepared. We went as a small family and found stay overall very comfortable.

An absolutely fantastic stay at Glenmoore Cottages in McLeodganj. The cottages themselves are a delight—well-appointed, extremely comfortable, and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It’s hard to put into words the serenity and beauty that greet you each morning. But what truly makes this place exceptional is the owner, Mr. Ajai Singh. His warmth and hospitality are unmatched; he goes above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay. Highly recommend for anyone seeking both comfort and an unforgettable experience.

On arriving at Glenmoor Cottages we were unsure if we had come to the right place. How wrong we were! Located up a narrow road about 0.5 km from the main part of McLeod Ganj, the cottages sit in a beautiful pine forest with nothing but the occasional bird song to disturb you. The cottages are spacious and a bit rustic, but have all the amenities you need. At night we were given hot water bottles to take the chill off our beds. Our hosts were the most gracious people, charming and polite, and nothing was a trouble for them to organise. I enjoyed some lovely discussions with them, particularly AJ, and his helpful advice was invaluable. We enjoyed sitting out on verandah each afternoon watching the sun go down with either a cup of tea or coffee, or a glass of beer and wine. It was a pleasure to wander the grounds and enjoy the serenity. The staff were lovely and unobtrusive. At night, our hosts booked a taxi to take us the short distance town for dinner. If you a seeking a special experience and something different from your standard hotel stay, then I recommend you spend a couple of nights at Glenmoor Cottages (aka Aum Cottages).

Stayed at the place beginning June 22. In the hustle & bustle of Mccleodganj, Naddi it comes as a total surprise. 9 cottages set in the midst of a 15 acre forest Landon the fringe of the Reserved forest, it is an idyllic environment for a relaxed family holiday. There are beautiful walks in the forest in the property itself. Board games etc are available on request. The cottages with a bedroom & sitting area are well appointed with all mod cons. There is AC, WI-FI, Tv, frig, dining table with a little kitchenette area also. The owners Mr & Mrs Ajay Singh are charming hosts who are always willing to help. Food can be ordered in the kitchen where they turn out simple homely food in case you do not feel like going into town. Mccleodganj Main square is just a 15 mins walk down where you can go for lunch or dinner.

That's the view from one of the rooms! The place is perfect for those who want it real quiet around them on their vacation. The hosts are very accommodating and polite and help out with where you can visit and what you can do. The staff is very helpful as well. The cottages are clean and well maintained. The place could be a little heavy on the pocket, especially when it comes to food but they make everything fresh so that's a plus. Slightly away from the market (15-20 min walk and climb) but definitely worth it.

We spent two nights in Aum cottages and found them to be very comfortable and the service was excellent. When a driving cold rain hit they even delivered our meals to our cottage. The owner is charming and visiting with him was a highlight of our trip. Beautiful setting.
