Hotel Ekant Lodge

Staying was very good. Nice hill view from Balcony. Amenities available in room however not taken any food there. Car parking available. Price affordable for a family room. Market is close to hotel in Mcleodganj.

The staff is very cooperative and patient. They stayed late and guided our driver how to reach there. We all are happy with the staff's behavior. We have liked our stay there and enjoyed the view from our balcony.|Thanks for the hospitality!!

Amenities: 3/5 Location: 3/5 Wifi: No Rooms: 4/5 Value for money: 5/5 Booked a family room during season. It was in budget, on a good and quite location and the accessibility was also fine. The only thing is that the family room doesnt have windows in main room and it can affect the ambience. We are late sleepers, hence we wake up late.. the whole hotel had noises of furniture shifting and cleaning for almost an hour every day.. This disturbed us to an extent. There are limited breakfast options and no lunch and dinner options. However there is a big kitchen and you can cook yourself if you want. This was the best part. The beds were comfortable, blankets were clean and over all a good stay.

We booked standard room with balcony. The rooms were clean and the view from the room was nice. The food was also good. The hospitality was amazing. The staff was really humble and helpful. The lodge is located at a good location that all the major cafe's and the market is located within 500m. We had a good time staying there and surely will recommend this lodge for stay.

James from Texas here, my friend and I I spent almost a week in McLeodGanj. Most of my stay was at the Ekant lodge. The staff were so kind and accommodating. Its India and haggling is part an parcel for this part of the world but these guys were very fair and not difficult to deal with at all. The man who is the manager is an especially nice and likable man; he speaks great English and he and his entire staff are always eager to help you. The food they cooked was incredible, I wish I could remember what I ordered but it was some sort of Indian lunch or dinner and it might have been the best thing I ate in the entire 5 weeks I was in India. The view from out window was great, the location was good and it was easy to walk into town and go shopping. Its close to the Dali Lama's temple as well. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because the rooms are not amazing. It is important to keep some perspective, it is India not the USA but all in all the room wasn't bad. The bathroom has a window which is very nice, everything was clean and the guys working were ready to re-stock whenever. They come with a very nice balcony and although the wifi could be spotty depending on what room you rent everything still worked out pretty well. I'm very glad we stayed there and for any western tourist that want an affordable and decent place this is a good spot.

My three children and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. The staff was very generous, kind and compassionate to us. They prepared meals for us on the premises, catered to our dietary styles and provided us with an amazing view of the Himalayan foothills. The staff went out of their way to help us and were very patient with us. They had wi-fi and a heater if you feel cold. I highly recommend staying at this place if you are in Mcleodganj. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Amazing Views, Friendly Staff and Helpful Owner who guides about local things like an Elder Brother. Very pleasant stay!
