Katson Castle Hotel Dharamshala

Rooms were good and location is near to sunset point so you can actually see sunset from the hotel if you had that facing room otherwise other side you can see sunrise but because of mountain it blocks Rooms were clean however if you open the balcony some insects comes even if everything is closed from somewhere those insects are entering in room it was not good experience I had dinner and breakfast here, food was pathetic I never had this much bad taste but in north India Breakfast option were too less overall don’t have food here try to have it outside Garden is very good and staff will arrange camp fire. View is nice It has gym and play area underground but it is so dark and full of mosquitoes 🦟 and everything there is broken and in very bad condition You cannot relax here, you just book to sleep not to enjoy Except food everything was good

Staff was helpful and rooms were very clean. View from room as well as property was very good. Food was good, but when we tried ordering dinner, we were told they do not serve any starters for dinner, only main course items. Other issue we faced was restaurant service was a bit slow too our liking.

I had a wonderful experience at Katson Kastle. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options, always served fresh and with care. The food service team was attentive and ensured everything was perfect. Housekeeping was equally impressive—rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and cleaned regularly, making the stay very comfortable. A special mention to the General Manager, Mr. Manish, whose warm and professional demeanor made a real difference. He was courteous, proactive, and went out of his way to make sure guests felt welcome and valued. His leadership is clearly reflected in the excellent service provided throughout the property. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-managed and hospitable place to stay.

Lost Potential.... What could have been an excellent resort has been reduced to a mediocre one due to poor service. It has the Best location, infrastructure and rooms in the Naddi area but poor service has undone all these pros. Rooms are spacious and well decorated with views of mountains from rooms' balconies. You can easily view the sunrise sitting from the comfort of your room. But there are problems aplenty. Intercoms not working, smelly and poor quality towels, very limited food items in the buffet, no proper resolution of the problems. Had to ask many times to get the swimming pool cleaned. Management needs to work better to realise the potential of an excellent building

Outstanding location, superb service, delicious food quality. Overall tremendous experience. Only suggestion is that please hang wall clock in every room. Manjit is very courteous and prompt. Whatever I required he immediately fulfilled. Very good staff and gorgeous setup. I rate this hotel great.

I recently stayed at Katson Castle Hotel in Dharamshala and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The staff behavior was unprofessional and unwelcoming, which made my stay uncomfortable. Additionally, the services provided were subpar and did not meet basic expectations. Hygiene was a significant issue, with cleanliness standards far below acceptable levels. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Location is nice. A little expensive. Service is slow. Otherwise staff is cooperative. Food is delicious. Nice ambience. Overall,it was a good experience. We enjoyed the trip.
