OYO Almighty Guest House

My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Leh in this lovely guesthouse. The room was spacious, clean, light and cosy. It was a perfect location close to Leh main market and lots of cafes and restaurants. The owners were very kind and let us keep our bags there whilst we went trekking. Rafiq looked after us very well. Hot water was solar panelled and worked well. Highly recommended to anyone travelling to Leh!

I had a stay there with my family and friends for two days which was the worst stay I ever had. Rooms were in pathetic condition with poor lighting that getting ready was a problem for all and rooms had no ventilation at all. We gave them clothes for laundry, which were returned back with washing powder in it, not washed properly and not even ironed. No drinking water was served, check out time was not informed and stay was extended without informing us, except the owner shoukat everyone was cooperative even his cats. Food was way expensive and not served properly.

Miserable stay the place has restrictions more than strict hostels would. your footwears are not allowed beyond entrance. the care taker is rude. rooms are not well lit. only hot water is available in washrooms. room service is not available. the food is over priced and not good (one of us found egg shells in bread omelette). they wash single piece of cloth for 60 rupees and u will find detergent in your clothes, forget the ironing, they charge extra. their check out timings are 9 am which we were uninformed about and our stay was extended without permission. i would wish to give negative rating to this stay. #worstexperience

Almighty guesthouse is run by Shaukat and his wife - both of whom are wonderful people. The rooms are big, spacious and very clean. The bathrooms are big too, with running hot water. While there are no views from the balcony or windows as such, you do get a glimpse of the mountains in the background and its lovely. The location is great. Its 5 minutes walking from the main market area but being tucked away in a cosy nook, you dont get the hustle bustle of the market either. Shaukat was very helpful and it being my first trip to Leh, he gave me a lot of information and travel tips. The breakfast is part of the room tariff and one day, on request, I also had lunch at the guesthouse. The food is prepared at home by the lady of the house and its simple, delicious and filling. Greylu, the housecat, was an added attraction for me :)

This boutique hotel is truly a gem. The rooms are luxuriously appointed (although, no TV), bathrooms are clean and they even have a small balcony in some rooms. The owner and her family make you feel at home with their courteous hospitality. Breakfast was tailor-made for us and served as per our convenience. It's also great value for money.||The only pit-fall is that they do not have dedicated parking and the approach road is terrible!

The Hospitality by Mr. Shaukat was very nice. He is a very friendly person and always proactively give a helping hand. Cleanliness of that guest house was really awesome. Of course.. I forgot to mention.. it is little difficult to find this guest house with proper direction on Google maps.. it has to be better.

The rooms were quite cosy and comfortable. The owner Shaukat and the other staff working there were very cordial and helpful. It was like a home away from home. Everything was taken care of with just a simple request. Would love to visit them again and enjoy their hospitality.

They are very sensitive about cleanliness but their method of doing so is wrong. At entrance you have to remove your shoes and wear their slippers which have limited size. No telephone in the room to call for any service. You have to come down and wait till you see someone to get anything. Rooms are nice though.
