Hotel Grand Nishat

Does not worth your money that they charge. Staff is good and food is just okay. Rooms are not maintained. The phone in my room was kept on the floor, side tables are so small, can't be of much use, bathroom has leakage, nice view from balcony but can't sit as the AC water was all over in the balcony, power backup is a problem. Feels like staying in an inn and not hotel. Either remove Grand from the name or maintain it like that.

The rooms are small. Outer appearance of hotel is very poor. It's not worth the price. Many technical complaints. Breakfast served always late makes the guest even more late for side seeing. Toilets are old style with many complaints which guest needs to get used to

The hotel is just 10-15 minutes walk from dal lake. The food was average. Rooms are OK.

Good location and great quality of service and very clean. And they help.with tour planning as well. Had a good experience with my stay there.

Cons: The heater was switched on and off. The room never stayed warm. There was a hole in the bathroom. Cab driver provided was very rude and not at all co-operative. Pro: Location was good, you can actually get the city bus just in front of the hotel. Few people are good at hospitality but few are very lazy.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly and professional staff who made check-in a breeze. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment throughout my stay. The room and property is beautiful, the pictures do no justice, much more beautiful in person. Waseem's hospitality is unmatched, every staff was very enthusiastic to listen and help. Waseem can arrange practically everything in kashmir, so ask him when you make other travel plans. He also arranged our stay at his houseboat, which was spectacular. And they provide to and fro cab service to airport, so ask everything please. As a tourist very important that you choose breakfast and dinner included options in kashmir as much as possible unless you have hired a local car, even then when it's cold, you wouldn't want to get out. Stick to touring between 9 to 5. This hotel was ideally located to visit all tourist points around dal lake.
