OYO 72199 New Shalimar Hotel

Wrost experince in room One of the WORST places ever! My horrible experience with this place. There are pimps roaming around the Dal lake ghats and one of them took me to this Shalimar hotel. Below are few pros and cons - 1. The rooms are extremely smelly and dirty. 2. There’s no proper access of electricity 3. Overpriced 4. The windows are mostly broken 5. Washrooms are so unhygienic and broken 6. MAJOR - You need to call and wait every time you want to go outside because the hotel is situated opposite of Dal lake in the middle of a jungle type place. No manners how to tolk with customers/ People

Listen 🙏plzz dont come here. Wifi doesn't work properly, staff speaks good but don't serve like it, rooms are smelly and gets pretty hot during afternoons, only breakfast is available here, no lunch or dinner and the breakfast is nt even good. Bathrooms are in very bad condition, every room has flaws, electricity is nt good, I can't even charge my phone with inverter's backup. Take my advice don't come here location is decent but it's just a show off

I visited Srinagar in June 2023 for three days.. We booked online. Room pictures shown online is totally different. It's mentioned that they are providing free breakfast and parking facilities. But when we approached they denied it. Rooms are full of cockroaches and rats.beds and Carpets are unhygienic. Washroom are dirty and water lying there. When we told the person sitting there, he told us to vacant the rooms at midnight, but he refused to refund the money. They misbehaved with females also.Whole night we and our children were not sitting due to cockroaches and rats.At night our baby became sick. We searched for sikara so that we will go to the doctor. When we came back then again we were struggling to go back to room.||We will never recommend anybody to book new shalimar hotel in future.

The rooms may not be in great shape but the people are amazing, I went there like 8 years ago tho with a family of 12 but they treated us like family. I might not recommend it to someone who's looking for a good place to stay but we had one of the best time of our lives 💕

While I was searching for this place, I was shocked to see that the hotel in inside the lake. Well some may like such location, but what I didn't expect is that the place to be so badly maintained. Floors are dirty, bathrooms in bad shape. The first floor rooms heats up like oven in the afternoons. Please avoid the place if you can.

The neighbors are very loud and can be easily heard from the rooms. 8. The beddings are very old and smelly Pros - None!

Hotel is in central location of Dal Lake. Very convenient to visit tourist places from this hotel. Very peaceful location neat and clean rooms. All types of Veg and Non veg food is available. I recommend everyone to stay in Hotel New Shalimar Opposite Ghat No. 4, Dal Lake, Srinagar

Beautiful location Dal lake,,but preferred in winter ❄️ and there is a big lake market you can purchase anything...
