Houseboat Nairobi

....please do not be fooled by the old reviews. We stayed here just last week. This is a dingy old wreak. Right from the very loose railing at the entrance to the oldest rickety furniture. This place is not even rateable. The stay was horrible in as much as the people there made us feel like everything was a bother. The reviews about great meals must be talking about somewhere else. We got meat curry and rice. No other choice. Breakfast was fried eggs and toast, with tea. While this was sufficient it is not what the reviews indicate. The best was saved for the last. We gave a tip equal to the cost of our stay, but we were given a long story by both husband and wife that they only work there and don't get paid much and that the tip is not enough and we should give them more!! The place should be shut down. I have over 400 reviews, never felt so bad anywhere! BTW too embarrassed to take photos of such a sad place.

We visit kashmir the house board service and was thoroughly impressed. The platform provided a seamless experience in finding a suitable house board, and the communication with the hosts was efficient. The property was well-maintained, clean, and matched the description accurately. Overall, a great service that made the entire process easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Faizal is the most thoughtful, gracious host. He provided us with all the information we needed. The boat house is just perfect! Balcony is compact and contains everything one needs. The bed is comfortable, bathroom and terrace are excellent. Location is incredible. Faizan had excellent recommendations and was of great help. He went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable.

I personally was not happy with the hospitality. The Keeper guy literally stood after dinner and kept gossiping and indirectly taunting us to not speak in local language as he also understood it, also the internet service was not working which were there but at the time of asking it to care taker, he simply made some joke and tried to divert the topic. And the worst part is that they shamelessly ask for tips even though the service was not upto the mark.

Amazing stay. Good hospitality. Host were very kind and friendly. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the usual sounds located in a serene beautiful Nigeen lake. Amenities were good. In-house food was delicious. Witnessing a Sunrise/Sunset from the terrace of the Nairobi houseboat is a must thing to do. Shikara ride from houseboat to Dal lake amidst various Lotus farms and age old wooden bridges is another to-do thing. Faizan, the host was very responsive to the all the queries and was quite accomodative.

What an ambience! This is the best place to stay in Srinagar. Best hospitality. The serenity and calmness of the lake fills the house boat with so much peace. Do stay here! <)

Overall, I had a great experience with the Houseboat Nairobi; Faizaan Bhaijaan was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a vacation in Srinagar.
