The Shelter Heritage A Boutique Hotel

We recently completed a Kashmir tour from 9th to 13th October, arranged by Mr. Izaaz from Royal India Expedition, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The entire trip was well-organized, smooth, and incredibly pocket-friendly.||Our accommodation at Hotel Shelter Heritage in Srinagar was a pleasant surprise. Though budget-friendly, the hotel offered a wonderful stay, with employees who treated us like family. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home.||A special mention to our driver, Mr. Burhan, whose punctuality stood out—something not very common among drivers in typical tourist destinations. He was not only a skilled driver but also extremely friendly, making the journey even more enjoyable.||We are extremely satisfied with the entire arrangement and will definitely be looking forward to traveling with Royal India Expedition again and also staying in hotel shelter heritage in the future. Highly recommended!

It was in 2011 march, I was planning my honeymoon from south africa . I had planned 7 days trip to Kashmir . I have searched many blogs/ reviews/comments from the internet. Based on the many customer's feedback, I finalized the deal with Mr. Shafi bai.|Since, I had never been outside to south africa was a bit skeptical about the overall trip. But, it was my best ever memorable trip in my life!!!. I never felt any discomfort during the entire trip, all were well planned and organized by Aijaz Bhai. Food he served was amazing and his small kid was always reminded us that it is just like another home. The entire team was just like the family. Good hospitality & services throughout my Kashmir trip. Driver Bilal was polite & tariq, the old uncle was friendly. The Shafee manager fulfilled what he promised. Fell in love with Kashmir & kashmiri people. ❤️😍🙌

From 18 th to 22 nd June 2024, we were ( family of 4), stayed at this hotel, during our Kashmir trip. The hotel is located nearly 4 km from Dal lake, Ghat No.1. The stay was pleasant. The food was very good. Service and hospitality was excellent, especially by Ijas. The rooms and attached bathrooms were clean. We often refer to TripAdvisor reviews while booking our stay for our vacations. Based on the almost 5 star reviews, we booked 3 days here from 10th to 1 3th August. And it was the worst decision. The photos are very deceiving. The staff just doesn't have any hospitality, no cleaning of rooms, even when asked they didn't change the glasses etc. The breakfast was extremely oily and cold and hardly any options. And the worst of all was the location. We actually checked out a day earlier.

Shelter Heritage is truly a home away from home . Clean linen, nice washrooms , 24 hrs hot water and home food ( a tad more oil , that we usually have , limited options but healthy food with lot of Pyar !!! ) , what more can we ask when we go to a new place ? Our host was knowledgable abt the tourist spots and went all out to make our stay comfortable and uneventful . Cons: Yes , the location is away from the main tourist areas .so the view may not be great , but the hospitality made up for that shortcoming . This experience of Kashmiri hospitality is really refreshing ,heartwarming and we will surely return someday . .

Amazing service from Srinagar airport to Srinagar airport. The host was wonderful they made my itinerary as per request and showed untouched kashmir to us. The food was wonderful which I missed in leh Ladakh region. ||The food was mostly buffet having good option
