Hotel Shafaaf Plaza

It was supposed to be a 3 star accommodation (in fact they have listed themselves as a 3 star hotel on Google). And it was a lodge at best. The rooms were dirty and lacked basic maintenance. The furniture had broken from areas and not very clean. They didn't even provide clean towels after a day of use. They just put them to dry on the bed itself. The washroom fittings were broken in some rooms. The entire floor has wifi from a single router and even that has a poor bandwidth. The food was okay at best. On another instance, we requested warm drinking water as it gets cold in Srinagar during the night. They provided boiling hot water in an insulated water bottle to drink. On just taking a sip, my mouth was burnt. On complaining about this, they said "Sir aapko dekhke peena chahiye na?".

Previous review - Worst place to live there service is even worse Not recommend Ur things may get stolen Staff behaviour is worst I forget my watch at hotel i told them to courirer them but they didnt , After 6 month my friend visited this place but they deny to give my watch saying fake things that we have already courier my watch Respose to owner - Firstly 2nd day after my departure i had call and conveyed for the watch and after following mulitple time till a month u didnt courier my watch and told me that we have a lot of customer so we are not getting time, If u are not getting time, then my friend had visited at ur place for a watch but u didnt provide the receipt nor watch nor any tracking id to him. Secondly u have forcefully charge me service tax which is optional as per indian law. If u are telling that u have courier my watch then please provide me courier receipt or tracking id My allegations are totally true

Room not daily cleaned, you need say so many times if you just want to clean your dustbin, driver they provide ,he will not help you out for travelling ,he just fullfil his job nothing else , just drop out on a specific point , not exploring you the way thing ,where you are going through, they provide tea in this disposable cups. 24 hours running water facilities available there because , always water run on your bathroom tap. Electricity switches not working properly , this hotel only good for those ,who just want to stay only in single night . But owner was very polite ,humble and helpful, he is very nice person .

This is a family run hotel . The level of service u get here is awesome. They go above and beyond to fulfill ur requests. The best thing i noticed here is the safety. We had girls in our group and were skeptical about the safety in srinagar. It was really safe and the staff were really good. To our surprise it was snowing and this place looks magical on a snowy day. They gave us heating blankets also including room heaters for the snow day. I never expected heating blankets in a non 5star hotel. The hotel shows character and old world charm. Location is also very good with mughal gardens just walking distance and nishad gardens is also nearby. Food was also very good and the chef prepared dishes upon our request even though they were not in their menu. Now this is customer service. I definitely recommend this anyone who wants awesome service.

I would say one of the best hotel very good staff, they were very polite the owner was also very polite and humble , reported an issue in tv they came in 1-2 min and fixed it very good services loved the hotel

The staff here is so good as in service or food we can rate 4 out of 5 but only the thing since it is an old building rooms were not clean and they are stinking electric boards are burnt
