Chanakya BNR Hotel

This is a very old hotel and could date back to the British ruled times. BNR stands for Bengal-Nagpur Railway that was established way back in 1887 and preceded Eastern Railway. Originally with the railways, the hotel management later became private. The hotel is laid out over substantial area - lots of green and open space. It has a gym, pool and a number of banquet halls. Rooms are spacious. However, small things are missing - for example there was no full length mirror in the room. Wife complained about it. We stayed for 3 days for an event and hall all our meals here. Food was good in terms of taste and spread - nothing outstanding. Service was slow and we had to wait for a long time for any service. Location is good - opposite the railway station and close to the Main Road. All-in-all our stay was average.

Receptionist was very cooperative and very good service.The room itself was a haven of comfort and luxury. Spacious and elegantly decorated, it featured a king-sized bed with high-quality linens, a well-designed work area, and a modern bathroom with a rainfall shower. The panoramic city views from the floor-to-ceiling windows added an extra touch of sophistication. I was particularly impressed with the in-room amenities, including a state-of-the-art coffee maker and a selection of premium toiletries.

We have a excellent experience during stay at Chanakya from check in to check out. During check in time, we received a warm welcome by the staff at reception |and room allotted within a short time maintaining all formalities. Room service and house keeping were prompt. Quality of food was also good. Hassel free bill payment gave me a good experience.

Rooms are neat and clean. Hotel is situated just opposite side of Ranchi Railway Station. Evening view is quite interesting.
