OYO 26870 Hotel Royal Valley

It was 1 of my worst nightmares to stay in this place. The only good thing is the location is good, allows u to hv a gr8 morning walk amidst forest like areas, 1km from Gokarna beach. But that is all whr the goodness ends. ||||Starts the horrible sequence of experiences.||||1. The reception staff/manager calls us 4-5 hours before check in and asks/threatens to revert the online paymnt already done via oyo, and pursuades to make the paymnt at reception.We did tht out of fear of loosing d booking n wen called him to inform, he doesnt pick aftr multiple tries. Once we reach for check in, he blatantly tells us room is booked by sm1 else as u didnt come back on this, no tooms avlbl,he makes our families wait for 15 minutes n then tells tht rooms r available, but takes way higher price for them as compared to earlier online bookings.||||We felt miserable coz of his manipulations.||||Saw many more people like us suffering similar pain at reception during our 2 days stay. ||||2.Hygenicity has gone fora toss. Very filthy condition of the common verendah between rooms, strong ganja smell kept coming at this corrider for 2 days continuously, hats off.cudnt open d room door dueto this.||||Persons who cleaned the toilets, were d same persons serving d foodin restaurant. We fell short of vommitting seeing this.||||3.No room cleanings in 2 days.||4.Receptionist/manager was very arrogant, opportunist n manipulative.||5.Hospitality committed suicide.||6.it was our mistake to decode to hv dinner there on the 1st day.We got d food afer waiting for 1.5hours, the roti's were half baked, dal fry was watery like anything, other items were in similar condition. I wud better hv 2-min maggie smwhr.||7.Saw them putting direct tap water in bottles we gave. ||8.no cupboards in rooms. Rooms stink slightly.||9.Zero hospitality.felt like a neglected orphanage maintained by local gundas.||||DONT DARE BOOK HERE if u r not planning a vacation for ur deadliest enemy.

I had a pretty negative experience at this particular hotel. I did a booking via OYO Rooms, and on arrival to the hotel was told that "OYO are cheaters". I was told the amount I booked the room for was very low and asked how much I was willing to pay. I called up OYO and then a settlement was made between OYO and the owner to let us stay at the same cost at which the room was booked. All was well for the first night and first half of the second day. When we returned to the hotel on the second night, a worker informed us that the hotel owner asked us to move to another room in the same hotel, as the other room has a 24 hour geyser which the first room didn't. We agreed and moved the second room, which turned out to be much smaller, had dirty walls, and above everything else, a terribly strong stench of sewage emanating from the bathroom. The bathroom door could not be left open for more than a few seconds lest the entire room would be filled with the stink. To conclude, I found the manner in which the whole situation (difference between OYO and the owner) was handled to be quite unprofessional. I feel like the shifting from one room to another was just a way to harass a customer for paying lesser than the standard rate of the hotel (thanks to OYO). If the hotel owner had a difference with OYO, there should have been an effort to inform the customers in advance so that alternate arrangements for accommodation can be made. And one last thing, the hotel is up on a steep hillock which does not have proper illumination at night. Stay at your own risk.

hotel staff was not cooperative. Manager is quite Rude and arrogant. no hot and drinking water. no curtains in room.DTH connection not available. WiFi speed too less. hotel building under construction and no in house restaurant as earlier mentioned. you can see rats in room. no lighting near hotel to locate it during night. Extra towels and soaps not provided. hotel deserves negative marking.

The place is still getting built. Not a great stay. Hot water facilities are unpredictable and mostly malfunctional. Room will smell like new paint . Food is good though. Maybe you should wait another year so it gets built properly. Avoid it for now and look for a hut on the beach instead. Or better yet carry a tent and ditch all buildings.

We stayed here from 19-20 Oct. The hotel is newly built and some work is still underway. Manager and staff are friendly. Both AC and non-AC Rooms are nice. View from one of the rooms was very nice, whole valley was visible. We also like the food very much. Only drawback is unavailability of auto or other on demand convenience, though manager can arrange auto. The way from city to hotel is little steep but manageable. I have attached view from room.

I had been to this place with family. I booked this hotel via OYO and made online payment. On the same day when I called to the hotel manager to inform about our arrival timing, he said the payment made online will be termed as void and asked us to make cash payment on arrival. So I managed to get my payment refunded back somehow from Oyo. On our arrival the person named CHANDU told that all rooms are booked and demanded more money to avail a room. Really a pathetic situation I went through. The person was talking nonsense and tried to make money in every go. He made my family to wait outside for more than 1 hour. I had no other choice and after I made the huge payment, he handed me the room key. Secondly very unhygenic rooms and served rotten complimentary breakfast. Pungent smells were coming in hotel corridor. Very very worst experience I ever had.

1. Poorly kept washrooms 2. Dirty bedspreads PS: I had booked this stay through oyo thinking it would be good. To my dismay I got a wierd welcome, I mean in which hotel are you welcomed by someone in bathrobe (in shirt and towel) 😂 Since the booking was done through Oyo early check-ins are charged and I was charged too but I don't understand why early check-in is charged if most of the rooms are vaccant.... I was given a room different from what I had selected 🤨, after asking them why the room allocated to me was different from what I had selected they shifted me to the original room. The room was poorly maintained and had a faulty geyser, they did show the courtesy of informing the same (staff are polite) 😌 What more to say our trip had a pretty bad start.

Amazing receptionist..good service.reasonable price for the food.we took 8 people room. It was clean. We booked it at the moment. Go for the negotiation.it will help you save some money if you care for it.it was 3 to 4 kms from kudle beach and a little more from om beach. The food was very tasty on one day and kind of okay on the other. The hotel was under construction at that time.
