Mahabala Valley

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at Mahabala Valley hotel. Unfortunately, I found the management to be lacking in basic courtesy and respect towards customers. The behavior exhibited was not only rude but also irresponsible, which significantly impacted my stay. As a family-oriented establishment, I believe it is crucial to foster a welcoming and respectful environment for all guests. Regrettably, my experience did not reflect this standard. I would advise potential guests to reconsider their booking, especially if traveling with family.

Great experience overall. The rooms are well maintained and the washrooms are quite clean. Mr. Mayur was a delight and did his best to accommodate our requests (scooty, pakodas and much more). Location is great, close to Mantra cafe and Gokarna beach. We visited in Aug 2024. Note - The property is situated on a hill and has to be accessed via a steep slope. Rickshaws and bikes are alright, however cars might be tricky to handle on the narrow road

I had been staying for couple of days, during the long weekend of 17th to 19th August. Not satisfied at all. Pros:The only thing that might elude you, is the location, if you wish to stay indoors and enjoy the lush green fields, around you. Cons: There are no amenities given to the guests.. Like even drinking water is supposed to be bought and drunk. Even Tea and Bisuits were asked to be paid during Checkout. I wonder this is a minimum courtesy of the Host to provide drinking water and morning tea, that too when we have paid excess of 3K, per day.. ***NOT A PROPERTY RECOMMENDED BY ME, FOR SURE***

The property manager Mayur sir was really hospitable, he helped us with all the bike rentals, food, travel. The rooms were very clean and at a convenient location.

Rajesh Bhai key liye seperate 5/5 stars, they have provided water in midnight also, provided zandu balm also in late night during fever. Room cleaner is nice dont know her name.

We were total 9 people ....all women. Our stay at Mahabala valley was fantastic. Rooms were clean and room service was also good. We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel manager Mayur sir helped us allot with food, travel and stay. Overall our experience was really good. Staff is very helpful. Temple, market and beach is at Walking distance.

Over all pathetic service. The owner has changed and he told us he started running this place two months back. He seemed greedy for money and over charged us. We wanted to visit tourist places around and asked him if he knew and car service. He provided us the contact but over charged us for his commission which we later got to know from the car driver. Over all not a trustworthy place. When we confronted the owner he ill-spoke to us and started a fight, no one wants to have an argument during a trip as everyone wants to relax so we decided to check out and moved to a nearby resort(amazing service and hospitality). Mahabala valley is not a decent place and would definitely not recommend anyone to stay here. Room size is decent but room has a balcony and the door is not intact so insects can easily come inside. No food service, you’ll need to go down the market for food and every time you go even 500m in rickshaw they charge you 100 rs flat. There’s no negotiation. Instead a lodge with a restaurant service is much feasible for travellers. Also just because they don’t have food and other amenities doesn’t mean they charge less, they charge equal tariff for the room as any other resort nearby. Overall negative reviews from our end, we just ended up with upset mood for some time after having to deal with this nonsense. I’m sure no traveller on a vacation would want to go through this.

The stay at mahabala was really great, its location is convenient and close from a lot kf popular places. Also the staff and also the manager Mayur is extremely prompt and helpful, and helped us throughout our stay there!!
