Hotel Kumar's International

Hotel rooms are not very well maintained and service is okayish at best but the location is superb and you can get autos Nf buses to all corners of the city from the doorstep and owners/managers are honest people. They didn't charge us inflated prices even when we checked in a day before christmas without any prior booking when most hotels in the city were booked. You expect a basic stay with ac and safety and this hotel is good to go. 4 stars for that!

It was a congested place which is still under construction. Maybe the hall will be well constructed in a few months or so... Can have all types of party arrangements here... parking facility is available here

It's pretty spacious, comfy bed, n located near kankanadi stop which means convenience. Although booking needs to be done in advance. Else rooms won't be ready when u arrive. We had to wait till 12 noon although we booked n went at 7in the morning. No towels or soaps were kept probably cause they were in a hurry. The clock was not working, the fan switch was not working, there was no phone to contact the reception, but after complaining the service was good...

Room is not cleaned, it was stincking when we entered room. No room service, we had to carry our own luggage to the room. Room service boy came post that and expecting money. Air conditioning was not cooling and making a loud sound. TV was going offline intermittently. Hotel front office staff present on 5-Aug-2018, 6:30 pm, was very unprofessional and demanding identity cards of all guests who are checked-in when I'm with family and kids. He wanted us to pay upfront before allocating room.

Its a decent hotel. Location is good. The best part was flexible check in timing, they allowed me to check in at 7am. Any other hotel would have made me wait till 12 pm for that. It was a great relief since I was coming from an overnight journey. The room was clean with all basic facilities and an OK view.

By the name International, don't think that this hotel will offer you a international standard accommodation. However it is good hotel if you are looking for a cheap and reasonable accommodation for one night specially for a stopover.||I stayed there for couple of nights as a stopover one after landing to Mangalore Airport and one day before departing from Mangalore as I had my flight next day.||||Cleaning standards of the hotel are acceptable. Hot water is available 24 hours. They provide you towels & soaps. Hotel has a restaurant Coconut Groove. They have specialized in non-veg food. However don't order Mangalorean style food. I ordered Mangalore Style Chicken Sukka which I did not like. As a Mangalorean I look for authentic taste in a regional food which I could not found. However their kebab items are good. Other dish I ordered was fish fry which was good (but bit expensive compare to the size of fish) and Tangdi Kebab (Chicken Drumstick Kabab) which was great, soft and tender.||||Room service and reception service is also good. Hotel offers complimentary limited breafkfast consists of Idli and tea or coffee. However if you want to order other items for breakfast you can pay and order it.||||Overall, this place is good for a stopover. Good and cheap accommodation. For 990 + tax (I paid 1040 for double room) you cannot expect anything more.

This is a kind of budget hotel. Rooms are small and furniture is not up to the mark. You have to pay extra for any service like water bottle etc. The staff is good and can be called as your wishes. If this review helpful to you please press like.
