Thank you Vivanta Mangalore for surprise cake on my anniversary. The room was nice. I liked the staff as all are caring and always there for anything. Very good experience. Hospitality is very much in DNA of Taj brand.|Food was tasty. Mynt dining was amazing

The staff is very warm, courteous and hospitable. Rooms are spacious and clean. Two restaurants serve amazing Chinese and authentic local cuisine. Room service is very efficient. Unfortunately, the spa and gym were under renovation and that was a bit of a disappointment. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Nice place and great customer service. Very accommodating staff. Approach road may be not as good, but once you enter the property, I felt very welcoming. Restaurants inside are nice and good food. Enjoyed the breakfast with Indian variety as well continental variety. Swimming pool and the surroundings are well maintained and nice looking. Outside seating for the restaurant is also very nice. Overall experience is great and I will recommend this place any time.

This is a great location to base yourself for travels to Udupi and other significant towns in the area. The property is clean, well maintained, and has all needed services and amenities. Quality is top notch. They are also an earth-friendly property. What better!!||But what made our stay at this hotel amazing: the helpfulness and genuine care the staff extended during our stay. I was traveling with an elderly parent and I could not have picked a better place to stay in Mangalore. There was also a minor issue during registration because of an error on my part, and I am thankful for how the staff addressed the problem rather than get away with a not-my-job attitude. They also helped coordinate and take care of it at a second Taj location I was supposed to use after this stay. The restaurant was excellent as well; good food and friendly wait staff. Special shout out to Anirudh at reservations, and Anush and Sudeesh at Reception/Front Desk. They made our stay perfect.

My stay at Vivanta Mangalore was generally pleasant. The room had a lovely ambiance, offering a comfortable and relaxing space, and the hotel itself was impeccably maintained—neat, clean, and organized. However, there were a few aspects that fell short of our expectations.||One disappointment was that the gym was under construction, so we couldn’t access it during our stay. The breakfast menu offered a good variety, but unfortunately, the donuts were not fresh and seemed undercooked.||Our first experience at the hotel, however, was a frightening one. Upon checking in, we were given a room card that needed to be tapped in the elevator to access our room on the fourth floor. No one informed us about the process, and it appeared that the card was not properly activated. As we tried tapping it multiple times, the elevator suddenly began to jolt, and a loud emergency alert sounded. The lights went out, and we found ourselves stuck inside with no clear cell signal.||We immediately tried the emergency phone within the elevator, but no one answered. As minutes passed, our anxiety grew, and we even began shouting for help. After about five minutes of waiting in darkness, the elevator finally opened on the first floor. We went directly to the reception to report the issue. However, rather than addressing our concerns, the staff brushed off the incident. They simply escorted us to our room using another lift, and we noticed that a technician was later working to repair the faulty elevator.||This incident was genuinely unsettling, and the indifferent response from the staff left us feeling unheard and concerned about the hotel’s safety measures.

Everything about the place was four stars. The rooms are decent and comfortable. As usual with Taj, the service was great and the breakfast and good too! I feel there is room for improvement for them to take the experience to the next level with more attention to detail

Great hotel. It was near some really good malls and a market. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had asked the hotel if they could do something special for my daughter's birthday but they just put some balloons around a table and that was all. I really didn't expect something like that from such a luxury hotel. Otherwise it was great.

I visited here with my family. There were two birthdays in my family during our stay. The staff provided the best in class experience for all of us and made our trip memorable. They were proactive in customising based on our needs at the same time thoughtful to maintain our privacy and independence.
