Hotel Janardana

Excellent location in the heart of the city. Close proximity to the bus stand with good connectivity to various parts of Dakshin Kannada makes this our first choice for stay always. The tariff is reasonable. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff is extremely courteous. A pleasant stay experience.

I love the hospitality of Hotel Janardana. Very clean rooms and mostly the washroom which is so important for a female traveler. And Mr Achariya was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking for a clean and comfortable hotel

Rude receptionist | Pathetic Check-in |Neat rooms | Great locality Experience: The first-day experience was quite pathetic for me due to one of the reception staff being quite rude. 'Make My Trip' says the hotel accepts any government ID proof. The reality is quite different there. They don't accept voter ID as ID proof; they don't accept masked Aadhaar as ID proof; they only want your full Aadhaar number!! I do not understand why they want the entire Aadhaar number when the government has brought rules that mask Aadhaar works, as a lot of fraud happens when an Aadhaar number is given (I am not sure if I am wrong here). They charged INR 500 extra for early check-in even though we told them that we would check out at 7 a.m. (24 hours). Also, there is no option to customize the check-in and check-out times if booking through any other website. Hence, where would the people go if they came early? Room: The toilet in our room wasn't clean at all. The room was good, neat, and clean. Hotel staff: The service staff was good. Even the check-out was very smooth. There was a different reception staff during checkout, and I wish they were present during my check-in. Locality: It is near the KSRTC bus stand, near Adarsh hospital. Udupi Shri Krishna Temple is close by. Location-wise, it is good. Conclusion: I would have rated this hotel 5 stars if my check-in experience had been smooth. Check-in was a big turn-off due to lots of last-minute surprises (I would rather term it a shock) by the reception staff that day. The pathetic behavior of one reception staff member overshadowed the other positive things about this hotel.

Very very clean. Great location (5 minute walk to bus stand and Udupi mutt) and numerous restaurants. Good and safe parking. Recently renovated with newer beds and most importantly well functioning AC! Also, very clean!

The owner has a lot of attitude and isn't a man of his words. He gives a discount before you check-in and at the time of check-out he pretends like he doesn't know what we are talking about.
