OYO 4867 Royal Homes

This is an excellent hotel. Simple accomodation but with all the necessary. |A/C, ceiling fan, shower, hot and cold water, telephone and television, though I never watch that; WI-FI, sit down loos and if you are lucky, your own personal gecko . I was lucky. There were one or two mosquitos when I arrived and I killed them before realising that the gecko might starve. So now I just use a bit of insect repellant. The hotel is fairly central and just a short auto-rickshaw from the boat jetty and bus station. From my experience the area is safe and the hotel off the main road, so quiet. There are nearby restaurants. The staff are very helpful, esp Vidya.|I would certainly come back here again.

We visited Royal Homes in Allepy and stayed for a night. |The hotel is 3 kms from the beach and is well located in the city. You shall find enough stores and shops to suffice your needs. |The property is very well maintained. The rooms are reasonably spacious. Bathrooms are clean. The support staff were friendly. ||I recommend this hotel at Allepy

Gosh.. this was bad!! Was moved to this place after one of their sister hotels had no rooms available. Kind of had a feeling it would be down hill from there on. The overall property looked clean but once we got into the room it was different. The sheets were dirty. Felt like the bed cover was not washed a long time. The fan had only one speed and that was the fastest. Could not even slow down the fan. The water heater was not working. Flush system was broken. It was like a litany of messed up things with the room. No breakfast, WiFi was weak in the room. We were happy to get out of there. The beach is not too far from the hotel - a short tuk-tuk /auto drive. A number of eateries around. Oh yes, one last one - beware of the mosquitoes. ||Advice- stay away and I am sure there are better places around with a few bucks more.

We made an advanced booking on 3rd July 2018 via booking.com for one night on 6th July 2018. The rate was INR 881 incl. breakfast.||||We arrived at OYO Royal Homes around 23:45 on 6th July but were told by the manager that this hotel does not have the license to accept foreigners. We were bewildered and asked if there was any alternative plan as, after all, our booking was confirmed and it was extremely late at night.||||The manager then told us he could secretly offer us a room on a “humanitarian basis” but we have to pay INR 1800. No breakfast was included as well. ||||We had no choice but to agree and paid in cash. The manager refused to give us a receipt citing fear of getting into trouble with the authority. He then proceeded to mark our electronic booking as “cancelled due to no-show”.||||Lastly, it is obvious that the reviews about this hotel are fake. They were given by tourists from Singapore/ France/ Japan/ Ireland which are “foreigners”. The room we stayed in was completely unlike what is described in the reviews/ description although the external picture looks exactly like the real building we stayed in (so we are sure we didn’t go to the wrong property).||||The room condition was filthy and musty. There were stains on the sheets and there was no hot water and no breakfast.

I will give 0 rating to this hotel due to worst management ever found found in my 15 yrs of hospitality trade. Don't ever think of going to this place if u have a large group. The owner is a miser you will not get anything what you should get, I'm writing this review from room no 6 after shifting my 3 rooms to near by hotels..at 12 midnight
