Ramada by Wyndham Alleppey

We’ve loved our stay at the Ramada Inn— definitely the nicest and most upscale Ramada I’ve stayed in. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, a car was sent to pick us up from our previous destination, bags were brought up to our room, refreshment provided upon check in with the most delicious biscuits.||The suites that my family and I stayed in were gorgeous— I’ve never stayed in a room with a window to the bedroom and bathroom. There are shades for privacy but the natural light that flows all the way through the room, into the bedroom and bathroom, is nice. From the balcony you can see nice views of the river and the pool, which we enjoyed both. The pool water is warm like bathwater which helps you stay cool when you get out. I would have liked if it were a bit colder but that’s personal preference.||From 5:30-6:30 there is a complimentary boat tour— sunset cruise. The views were absolutely gorgeous. We very much thoroughly enjoyed that and it was a highlight of the stay.||The room was comfortably cool for sleeping. Shower is very nice as well. Didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub but it’s a great addition to the suite.

We stayed at Ramada Alleppey from September 6th (check-in) to September 7th (check-out). The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, which gave us a pleasant first impression. However, upon arrival, the reception welcome felt very cold, and we had to wait quite a long time for the room. We understood the delay since it was a busy Onam holiday with back-to-back check-ins and check-outs.||The disappointing part was the welcome drink experience. Despite waiting for more than an hour, we had to remind the reception twice to provide it. The delay was difficult, especially since the kids were quite thirsty. Eventually, juice was brought to us after the second reminder.||We stayed in Room 103, which was fine overall with no major complaints. In the evening, the tea and coffee session was quite busy, but the taste of both tea and coffee was excellent really top-notch. Unfortunately, the snacks ran out quickly, so not everyone could enjoy them.||The breakfast buffet was decent with good quality and taste. However, the restaurant service could be more attentive and engaging with customers to create a stronger sense of genuine hospitality.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Ramada. The staff was very courteous, the food was delicious, and the overall ambience was excellent. It truly offers great value for money. A special mention to the travel desk and the houseboat experience, which made our stay even more memorable.

The hotel is well located and the complimentary boat ride is a nice touch. The staff were all lovely and friendly too and the food is quite good. The building is old however and not very well maintained. Aircon in many of the common areas did not work, taps in the bathroom did not work. The in-room aircon is so old and loud it was hard to sleep. In evening the pool was overtaken by a big group of drunk guys. The hotel appears to have some fairly serious structural issues too, with many cracks in the walls and ceilings and several failed glazing panels.

Our extended family decided to have a lunch at Ramada Alappuzha on 06 September. Very 'close to nature' location on the waterfront and friendly ambience. Very tastefully prepared dishes and served with a lot of warmth. Overall a memorable experience.

1) Breakfast buffet was poor in quality and variety. Chef(Chandikunju) has a real attitude as if what happens in the restaurant is not his responsibility. More on that later. 2) Very poor infrastructure for a 5 star hotel. a) The electricity kept going off (4 times in 12 hours) sometimes for a considerable time. When I complained they said it is a technical issue. b) The hot water in the bathroom takes a long time to come up. c) Very poorly maintained doors and musty dark corridors. d) DND buttons and room cleaning buttons don't work. e) Poor WiFi and mobile coverage (latter is not a hotel problem). 3) Very poor service. Miss out on many details - like no room service menu in the room. They claimed a QR code was there in the room but when asked to show they couldn't and had to bring it separately. 4) I got to the reception to read out the feedback that I had written. Since the duty manager was not there they called the chef(Mr. Chandikunju) who was the senior most available. He arrived and as soon as I started giving feedback god irritated upset and told me to behave myself and that the other guests did not have such complaints. I wanted to record a a video of him saying it and when I attempted to he pushed my hand away. All of this was captured in the hotel reception camera. Later I got a video of the front office executive who witnessed the whole thing to recount what happened(happy to share that where required). The front office executive said that he would have the hotel leadership to call me. I'm waiting for that. In the meanwhile I'm starting to put feedback in various social media forums. 5) Essentially I had a very very poor experience. Will suggest to avoid this hotel at all costs

I recently visited Ramada and had a truly wonderful experience. The ambience was excellent — warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The service was top-notch, and a special mention goes to Sandy, who went above and beyond to take great care of us and even showed us around. Her hospitality really made our visit memorable. We absolutely loved our time at Ramada and would highly recommend it to others!

We enjoyed our stay at Ramada| The staff at the restaurant and hotel is warm and welcoming. We also got a chance to watch the Nehru trophy boat race practice from the hotel terrace. We would highly recommend this place for your holiday.
