OYO 9668 Chilanka Lake View Resort

Unfortunately, we did not have a good stay at Chilanka Lake View Resort. The room was, dirty and stinky and the bed was extremely hard. It was impossible to sit somewhere comfortable because also the outside chairs were very stiff. In one month traveling through India this was the dirtiest bathroom I have seen. The walls looked like they have not been cleaned in years. The property generally needs a lot of maintenance. Luckily the staff was extremely friendly and helped us with organising activities to a really good price. Also the location directly by the lake is beautiful. This place has a lot of potential but the rooms desperately need more care and especially deeper cleaning.

I visited there with my family and had a pleasant stay there, the property is one of a kind offers lake view and also have a spacious delux boat which is a literal luxury so you do not have to walk an inch to get the boat for backwater. Additionally the staff is friendly and very helpful. The staff there exceeded expectations.

Lake front view is amazing and also the services is excellent except food as they don't have in house restaurant but you can order through Zomato and Swiggy. Need to appreciate Augustine care taker who manages the place. I recommend this place to stay in Alleppey

The room was fine. Some rooms have extremely nice views over the lake. The location is a bit remote, and it is a bit difficult to get food.

In website, they say pay at property. But the management mandated me to pay in advance through G-pay/- for confirmation of this booking. They wanted a cancellation from my side. False promise from booking.com.

Recommended home stay! Joseph and his manager was very helpful. Good ambience. Shikara ride was extraordinary. Must visit next time.

Do not book Shikaras or kayaks from here do a Market research first. The owner charges double the amount and is a little bit rude on calls. Caretaker Ajay is gem. Very very helpful man. Otherwise rooms are okay not very good. Food is fine. Room food services are not available. Zomato and swiggy options are limited. Little bit outside of the main market area. Thanks
