Kadalamma Beach homestay

You who don't give any fee to the drivers, are you born to them.. Those who come to you as guests come with better dignity than you. Take a look... Don't you support those who walk with the same homestay... The room given to the guest is just a cheap set-up... Please, the driver is like you and he is a human being.

Brilliant homestay, made me feel like a part of their family. Best breakfast and definitely best chutneys!!! Clean and simple homestay right on the beach only 15 min walk from the train station. Yvette helped me with activities and kayaking on canals is an absolute must. Very happy to come back !

We couldn't find a stay in allepey and this old couple offered a room in the last minute. The building is very homely and it has a great balcony and terrace both with direct sea view. The hosts are very welcoming and the complementary breakfast was very good. Would love to visit this again. The room is very decent and nicely maintained.

Im a solo bike rider and found the best resort u can get in the starting of alaphuza where u can have a private beach (where its not crowded ) and u can swim in it. I was provided with a budget room which has a vast open area and the owners were very friendly towards their customers(guests). I loved staying at kaladamma homestay

If you want peaceful holiday then please don't book room here. I had worst experience of my life here. Positive - location is good Negative - 1. AC was not working, it was showing 16°c but room was not cooling. 2. Breakfast was below average. 3. Bathroom was not clean and there was no amenities like shampoo or conditioner. 4. One of the staff was very rude and aggressive (pleas read below incident details before booking Room here). When we entered in the property there was one men who introduced himself us worker and he asked us to wait in the garden then he informed the owner. She came and did all the check-in formalities then one boy came and he took us to the room. Room door was open so we entered in the room and that helper boy went then closed the door and freshened up after freshened up we planned to go out so we checked the key in the door but there was no key in the door so we thought may be they forgot to put the key in the lock , so I went down to ask owner. I asked her there is no key in the lock so she started to look in her house but suddenly that worker went up in the room so I followed him. He entered in the room without asking and started to search our bags but he did not find key, we also searched everywhere but didn't find then my friend opened cupboard (FYI we opened cupboard first time after entering in the room). And key was there in cupboard so we told him we found the key in cupboard. We thought everything is sorted now but that was the point he started to scold and shout at us he said you people were lying and you only hided the key and playing with us. He was very aggressive so again I went down and told owner that please come up he is shouting at us very aggressively so she came and asked him to stop but he was not stopping so we went out and we don't wanted to come back but our lagage was there so we came back very late in the the night to just sleep and checked out in the morning after breakfast fast. I felt horrible that night I was not able to sleep all the night. This was the worst experience of my life and owner lady was laughed in the morning over this horrible insident. It may be funny for her but not for us.she should have taken action against that man but she did not.

What kind of headache do you have? The drivers asked you to take a bath and park your car. Is your headache so you stop at the homestay and go to some other work?

Never been to a place so unwelcoming. The water was dirty yellow and upon bringing it up was told my "what nonsense, are your eyes okay?" "You should see water in mumbai" The room didn't have wifi and upon requesting to check out since I was promised something else, the host pushed me and screamed at me with harsh words. I was stranded because of them. I have stayed in so many hostels/home stays across the country but never been traumatised like this.
