We had an amazing weekend. Staff’s are quite friendly and made us comfortable on the entire stay. Calm and peaceful resort, well equipped with wifi, hot water supply, swimming pools. Tidy rooms and clean water to drink. Swimming pools are maintained regularly. Delicious vegan breakfast. Dropoff after your stay is also available on request.

The tranquility of the place just gets to you that our three day stay was extended to 5 days. The peace one felt being there was just amazing. One can just sit in the pool and enjoy the peaceful moments . Keep up the great place and we would surely visit the place again .

I live in Bangalore and during my visit to my native place, I booked a night at Shantitheeram Resort in Cherthala for some quality family time. The tranquil ambiance was so inviting that we extended our stay for another night. The staff was incredibly courteous, ensuring our comfort at every turn. Their attention to detail in hospitality was remarkable. We had the basic Ayurveda massages and were thoroughly impressed. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for a delightful stay.

Overall experience was pretty average. Pros: 1. Property location is pretty good. It starts where back water ends, basically next to the lake. 2. Some Ayurvedic treatments available (ayurvedic doctor) 3. Calmness of the place. Far from main city. Cons: 1. This place is under-staffed. No body even bother to refill/provide water everyday. You have to ask everytime for the same. 2. Severe Insect problem (even in rooms) during current season. Not advisable with kids. 3. Staff is good but as I mentioned, they only act when you ask them to do something. Basic things which by default should have been covered (example probiding water) guests have to ask them everytime. 4. They dont have fully functioning kitchen/ restaurant. Menu is very basic stuff and you dont really get to choose. No nearby good eatery as well. During our satay, we faced an issue of Foreigners being given priority over us. We stayed for 3 days and there was one foreigner couple, and menu was decided according to what they wanted to have. 5. Preference to foreigners over Indian nationals. This is something very bad and they should acknowledge it. No need to undermine Indian nationals when foreigners around. This slavery attitude we Indians have, needs to go. They are as much guests as we were and there’s no real need to give them priority while ignoring Indian nationals. Foreign nationals can see how you give them priority while behaving different with your country people. This set wrong example. Owner/manager needs to acknowledge this! 6. The massage is very basic but charges are very high as compared to typical good massage centre in allepy. We tried both and would suggest to look outside as they are good in massage, cheaper as well as give double the time duration. 7. Lack of any other activity. This property just have rooms and no real activity to do. Although they do have some Yoga session scheduled everyday Overall property is good. Do not expect much from food/ room service. Nothing much to do in that region except boat ride (which I must say is must and worth). There’s as Ayurvedic doctor available, she is available and you can have consultation. Fee is nominal.
