OYO 16532 Anchor House Hotel

I stayed here for one night, we booked 3 rooms all rooms were clean, fresh looking paint on walls and doors. In one of the room toilet was stinking and was in need of good cleaning. There is a restaurant on the ground floor with room service, the rates are reasonable. There is no covered car parking, cars will have to be parked on the road under a huge rain tree. Hotel staff are nice and ready to help if you ask. Overall a good OYO budget place

1. staff are apathetic, we had to ask them several time for basic things 2. we recieved 1 towel for 2 rooms (even though we saked many times for towels) 3. WiFi was not working at our floor, everytime the guy at the reception told us it will be fixed tommorow, eventually we stayed witout WiFi the whole time of our stay (5 days) 4. rooms were unmaintaned: mirrors had stained on them, door knob was broken, cracks on the cieling, elevator buttons were not functioning. 5. AC was not working the whole time 6. corridors and elevators were smelly and unpleasant prior our check-in we recieve a phone call from OYO staff threatening us we will loose our rooms if we don't pay in advanced now. even though we already paid 50% at reservation (that was not mentioned at booking site). the tone was very stressful and unpleasant if you like to mistreat yourslef, this place is probably for you, otherwise do yourself a favour and stay away from this hotel!‬‏

The rooms are very clean and tidy and the service provided was outstanding. One of the best budget hotels in Fortkochi. Highly recommended.

It's a good hotel in the middle of the city. You can get autos or cabs easily. It's close to many tourist spots and the beach too. The food is good in the restaurant. The staff is helpful and the service is good. The rooms are ok. Overall my experience was great.

Good hotel for a small average family.low cost A/c rooms is the only thing attracted us. Receptionist don’t know what to do with a debit card payment😄. Calm and peaceful area. Parking lots to be done in future. Expensive food with less quantity and quality.

This place should be avoided like the plague. I booked a room with breakfast. Their restaurant was under renovation, so no breakfast. They did not even see this as an issue! Said breakfast was complimentary.. It's not available.. So what? That was the attitude. How do you argue with that? |No running water half the time. No hot water any time. No water bottle in the room. No house keeping. No room service. Crazy traffic noise. Mosquitoes. |Avoid

They don't even deserve 1 star rating. If I ll able to go below that i wish to give them a negative rating. There hospitality and the way they are talking to the customer is really rude and they don't even know the basic OYO things. We actually booked here 2xclassic room with 3 adults which they have to provide a extra mattress which they declined and atlast at 11.30pm when I loose my temper I show the oyo app shows they will provide extra mattress for 3 adults, without any interest at the moment they provide the extra mattress demanding you have to talk to the reception tommorow morning before check out, and today before checkout they demand extra money for the mattress, which forced me to call the oyo customer care to solve the issue, which spoils my day. I have attended a 3 day long marriage function in Anchor House. Its entrance is in pocket road. 50 people per day. I had there in all 3 days. Hall is roof top. Convenient for 50-80 pax. Only one lift and it can carry only 5 people. No parking facility. Two or three cars can be parked in the pocket road. But lot of waste from birds because of the trees nearby. I parked my car in the parking of Abad Hotel which is in the main road. There was no inconvenience in the hall. But they didn't attend the hall properly I think. Because some old chairs and other items were kept in a corner near the wash rooms which is generally not acceptable.
