Owner is very friendly. they are very supportive. i only booked 3 AC rooms. i don't know Malayalam. because of the communication issue. only 2 AC rooms available. they apologies to me and they provide me four rooms. 2 AC and 2 NON-AC room. we only used 3 rooms. one more thing they have cow farm and hen farm inside. for us it is okay. but those who is not okay with that should avoid.

Neat and clean place to stay in munnar road. Near mar baselious institute of technology. Food will be avaliable at near by restaurant under 100 meter. Home delivery avaliable. AC rooms

Stayed shalom residency for one night for exam purpose..Shalom residency is more of a Homestay than a hotel..It is situated near onnunkal panchayat stadium stop(bus stop) or 800 mtr from oonunkal town towards kothamangalam. Nearest city is kothamangalam, ~6km from the residency. Room is clean with attached bathroom,ac available with chair,no shelf and single bed(my room).No room service or wifi available due to this is homestay? Residency matron(homekeeper) chechi is friendly and supportive. Nice hilly rainy high range environment. -Only room accomedation no food available here. For booking , most idealy direct call and booking preferred(dont relays on online app).confirm with chechi first?! Ground floor is for matron and 1st and 2nd floor are usdd for homestay.. Good experience for hilrange ernakuam district🤗.. Transportation : 1)Nearest railway station is Aluwa , from there Direct bus service "adimali" route via perumbavoor ,kothamangalam can reach residency... 2) from aluwa , if u got in kothamangalam bus, then kothamangalm private stand u have to get "neryamangalam" bus route to reach residency.. 3) residency situated in kothamangalm- adimali-munnar route ,hence long distance buses also serving this route. 4)Onnunkal town have 2 or 3 medium restaurents also bakery/general stores+autoriksha stand available. 5)Adviceble to buy 20rs drinking water and biscuits/small snacks before coming to residency 6) Take care urself.

This is an excellent location to rest, rejuvenate and proceed on to the scenic destination of Munnar. If you are loosing daylight ans don't wish to miss the view enroute take a night break here and you are good to go in the morning. The price is very economical with class amenities like hot water, wifi ans clean rooms.

Rooms are neat and clean. AC is super cool. Room rates are cheaper when compared to other rooms of same standard. If you are planning to travel towards Periyar Water Sports/Injathotti Hanging Bridge/Kuttampuzha/Mamalakandam, this is one of the best places to stay. Prices would be little less if you book it directly rather than online. Only concern is there are no restaurants/ATMs nearby and no room service available. You should come with food and water if you come in the night. Anyway best for low budget travels.

I have been to 5 oyo hotels this year and the past year, and this is one of the terrible ones! Please don't believe whatever shown in the picture, because they are all fake. There were no hot water, no proper wifi, no food places nearby. If you have gone for a business trip, then surely will you struggle. The staff was old and uneducated, the real manager was rude and hostile. Moreover they asked 300₹ extra just because the room had AC, while my booking already included it. Please don't go here, this place is a hoax. The construction is not complete. I am sure there are many places so much better than this

They provide room for 1200 Ac and 800 for non AC. I think it's one of the best option you can have when you reach oonukal, between kothamanhalam and neriya mangalam. The stay is maintained by 2 old womens and they pretty good know the business. It's still in Ernakulam dist so Munnar will be 40 km ahead.

I have stayed here couple of days. It was really comfortable stay. The service was really appreciable. Rooms and facilities are fabulous. One of the most hygienic conditions I have stayed. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended to everyone.
