OYO Hotel Seaweed

Good hotel with nice atmosphere. Well behaved staff. Provides you a calm and safe stay. Also you'll get a very nice scenery of the sea from the balcony. Beach is really close to it. Show and other restaurants are a little far for the hotel. Only concern is about the hygiene which is most important in the pandemic situation.

Airy and large rooms / bathrooms. However, no wifi Or TV. Claims to be a 3 star which is questionable. Booked on agoda and had confirmed reservation however hotel manager didn't honour it. Claiming that was not the room rate. He said I could get refund from agoda. But not wanting the hassle, I paid the "extra". So overall price of room was not what I expected and one can get way better quality when paying Rs900/1000. Pn. So, shop around in low season. So in summary, saving grace is the room itself but I wouldn't recommend here for the price.

We have booked this hotel in July 2022 through OYO. When we came to hotel to check in, they denied the check in and asking for hefty extra price. It's the same with everyone. Next day, we randomly met another people, their entry also denied and quoted for extra price. They quote less price in websites and charge more when you reach and helpless. Be aware of this fraudulence. Mostly the entire kovalam area is like this and we had a very bad experience with almost everyone. We were okay to pay the extra price and went to look at the rooms. The room was stinky and in very bad shape. It doesn't worth the price they ask. So, we cancelled the booking with Oyo and checked in , other hotel nearby. Surya beach resort also, owns by the same management. They also do the same fraudulence activities. Be Aware before you book and get confirmation from the hotel. Hope this will helps. Thanks!

Very bad experience. Broken bed, no jet spray with commode. When we reached the hotel, they didn't accept our online booking from "Agoda app", and we had to paid pay extra amount. At last, very bad room service experience, they also didn't change the dirty bed sheet.

I would like to rate this hotel good but i am marking average to let hotel improve/upgrade the facilities or hospitality to next level. Hotel is proximal close to beach and beach view room's were soothing n relaxing. I enjoyed my stay here pretty decent. Staff were really friendly and you could expect good response but not everything you may get. Food is OK! Rest room is also again OK! Should focus more on hygiene factors n focus on taking hotel to higher level. I wish them all the best n thanks for the hospitality!

Online the room was listed for 653rs but when we reached there they told that i have to pay extra to check-in . I paid extra 350rs to checkin. The rooms there are pretty disgusting and the room is not secure to place our belogings when we go out . For 1000rs there are better options near that Hotel itself . So my recomentation would be to choose that rather than this . This hotel looks like it came directly from 90s . Very bad experience and completly unhappy

Rooms was awesome. Hospitality from the staff and the owner Mr Jayachandran is beyond compare. Had a splendid time. Walking distance from the beach and has a spacious parking inside the compound. Best part.. Within every traveller's budget. Overall.. 5* for seaweed!

Worst hotel I've ever seen. Services like water, electricity could cut off any time without any notice. They don't provide bedsheets or blankets for extra beds. The hotel staff doesn't pay any attention to the requirements and calls of their customers. Even though the location is good, this hotel does not worth money.
